Download Interview Signal

Windows 10 and 11, and macOS 13 or newer on both Apple silicon and Intel. It installs without an administrator and needs no meeting-platform permissions.

You will need an active seat to sign in. If your agency has not bought seats yet, start at pricing; if it has, ask your admin to invite the address you use for work.

Installing on Windows

  1. Run the installer. It installs for your user, so no administrator password is needed.
  2. Open Interview Signal and sign in with your work email. You will get a link and a six-digit code; either works.
  3. The first time you start an interview, Windows asks for microphone access. Allow it.

This build is not code-signed yet, so SmartScreen will say “Windows protected your PC”. Compare the file’s checksum with the one published above, then choose More info and Run anyway. A signed installer is coming. If it will not install, write to [email protected] with your Windows version.

Installing on macOS

  1. Open the DMG and drag Interview Signal to Applications.
  2. Open it and sign in with your work email.
  3. macOS asks for Microphone access. Allow it.
  4. macOS also asks for Screen Recording. This is the permission that lets the app hear the candidate through your meeting app — macOS puts system-audio capture behind it. Nothing from your screen is recorded or saved. Quit and reopen the app after allowing it, because macOS only applies this grant at launch.

To check or change either permission later: System Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Microphone or Screen & System Audio Recording. The app has a link straight to both panes in its Settings screen. If it will not install or open, write to [email protected] with your macOS version.

Verifying what you downloaded

Windows, in PowerShell:

Get-FileHash .\Interview-Signal-Setup.exe -Algorithm SHA256

macOS, in Terminal:
