The main Avoma alternatives for recruiting as of October 2026 are the note takers built into Greenhouse and Ashby, recruiting-specific tools such as Metaview, BrightHire and HireLogic, CoRecruit for staffing agencies, Fireflies for a general tool that does connect to several applicant tracking systems, and Interview Signal for bot-free scorecards and submittals. Avoma is a capable conversation intelligence platform, but it was built for sales: its scorecards use sales frameworks, it names no ATS, and its pricing is per recorder seat with conversation intelligence sold as an add-on.
We make Interview Signal, one of the tools below; everything about the other products comes from their own sites, linked and dated.
Why do recruiting teams end up using Avoma?
Usually because sales already has it. Avoma records Zoom calls through Zoom's own cloud recording without a participant joining, if you have a paid Zoom license (Avoma help), can use Microsoft Teams' native cloud recording with no Avoma bot (Avoma help), and connects to dialers such as Aircall, Dialpad, RingCentral and Zoom Phone (Avoma integrations). For a recruiting team that screens by phone on one of those dialers, that is a real strength. Our Avoma for recruiting review covers how to set it up for interviews.
Why look for an Avoma alternative for hiring?
- Sales scorecards. The Conversation Intelligence add-on includes AI call scoring and custom scorecards with SPICED, Sandler and MEDDICC templates (Avoma pricing), and Avoma frames it around deal win rates and sales coaching (Avoma).
- Sentiment on the timeline. Avoma's pricing page lists a positive, neutral and negative sentiment heatmap and speaker insights such as talk speed and filler words. Those are coaching tools for sellers, not evidence about a candidate.
- No ATS. Avoma's integrations and pricing pages name CRMs, dialers, Zapier, an API and webhooks, but no applicant tracking system.
- In-person interviews. Avoma says it "does not fully support in-person meetings in the same way it does for virtual meetings" (Avoma help).
- Pricing built for sales teams. Startup is $19 per recorder seat a month billed annually ($29 monthly), the Conversation Intelligence add-on is $29 a seat annually ($35 monthly), and Enterprise needs at least ten paid seats (Avoma pricing).
- A Zoom change. From October 12, 2026, Avoma says Zoom requires its assistant to join on behalf of someone from your organization who is in the meeting and has connected Zoom (Avoma help), which matters if coordinators schedule interviews they do not attend.

What does a hiring scorecard need that a sales scorecard does not?
A sales scorecard grades the seller against a method. An interview scorecard grades the candidate against the job, and it has to stand up if someone later asks why a candidate was rejected. That changes what you need from the tool:
- Competencies from the job, not a sales framework, with the same questions asked of every candidate.
- Evidence for each rating: the candidate's own words, with a timestamp, not a summary of the conversation's mood.
- The interviewer's rating, kept independent of other panelists until the debrief.
- No tone, sentiment or "energy" scores, which can track nerves, accent or disability rather than ability. See our guide to reducing bias in interviews.
Our interview scorecard template shows the structure, and the interview intelligence buyer's guide explains which tools are built around it.
Each alternative, and who it suits
Greenhouse Notetaker and Ashby AI Notetaker
If your ATS is Greenhouse or Ashby, start there. Greenhouse's note taker drafts notes against each scorecard question for the interviewer to add to their scorecard (Greenhouse); Ashby's drafts feedback form submissions for review, with 500 interviews included per plan to try it (Ashby). Both join calls as a participant. Best for: companies that want hiring notes inside the ATS they already pay for.
Metaview
Metaview is a recruiting platform whose Notetaker has a free tier of 25 calls a month and a Pro plan at $60 per user per month (Metaview pricing). It joins calls as a participant, handles phone calls through its switchboard, and added a botless desktop app for Mac and Windows on October 12, 2026 (Metaview). Best for: in-house teams whose ATS is not Greenhouse or Ashby. See Metaview alternatives.
BrightHire
BrightHire, acquired by Zoom in a deal that closed in December 2025 (Zoom), runs inside Zoom without a per-call bot, organizes notes around the competencies you define, and drafts ATS scorecards for interviewers to review (BrightHire). Best for: Zoom-first companies with structured interview loops.
HireLogic
HireLogic joins video calls when invited, listens to phone calls when you conference in its number, and has a companion app for in-person interviews, plus guides that capture ratings (HireLogic). Best for: teams that interview across video, phone and meeting rooms, where Avoma's in-person support falls short.
CoRecruit
CoRecruit is built for recruitment and executive search firms: no visible bot, built-in VoIP, branded submittals into your ATS or CRM, and a 7-day trial (CoRecruit, pricing). Best for: agencies on Bullhorn, Vincere, Loxo or Crelate.
Fireflies
If you want a general tool like Avoma but with an ATS connection, Fireflies lists seven applicant tracking systems (Fireflies). Skip its candidate sentiment and culture fit AI Skills. Best for: companies that want one general note taker for sales and hiring. See Fireflies alternatives.
Interview Signal
Ours is a Windows and Mac desktop app with no bot that builds a question guide from the job description, fills a scorecard where each score carries the candidate's own quotes checked against the transcript, and writes a client submittal in your template. Panels can split questions across interviewers and share only which questions were asked and the scores. Team is $59 per seat per month, or $49 billed yearly, minimum three seats (pricing). Weaknesses: no ATS integration and no dialer integrations, desktop only, no video recording, few public reviews yet, and phone screens must run through the computer. Best for: recruiters who want hiring-shaped output without adding a bot to the call.
If your company already pays for Avoma, how do you make the case?
Compare like with like. The worked example below uses Avoma's published annual prices and an example team of five recruiters; replace the numbers with your own.
- Example, Avoma with scorecards: if your plan allows the add-on, Startup ($19) plus Conversation Intelligence ($29) is $48 per recorder seat a month billed annually, so five seats is $240 a month, before any hiring-specific setup. Avoma's pricing page does not say which plans the add-on applies to, so confirm with Avoma.
- Example, a recruiting tool: price the same five seats on the alternative's published plan, then add the time saved getting notes into the ATS or a submittal, measured on real interviews during a trial.
If the numbers are close, the deciding factors are usually the ATS connection and whether the scorecard matches how your hiring managers decide. If sales keeps Avoma, nothing stops recruiting from using a different tool.
Questions people ask
What is the best Avoma alternative for recruiting?

As of October 2026, Greenhouse Notetaker and Ashby AI Notetaker suit companies on those systems, Metaview and BrightHire suit in-house teams that want recruiting-specific notes across many ATSs, CoRecruit suits staffing agencies, HireLogic covers mixed video, phone and in-room interviews, and Interview Signal suits recruiters who want a bot-free scorecard and submittal.
Can Avoma be used for job interviews?
Yes, it records and transcribes calls on Zoom, Teams, Google Meet and other platforms. But as of October 2026 its scorecard templates are sales frameworks such as SPICED, Sandler and MEDDICC, its integrations name no applicant tracking system, and Avoma says it does not fully support in-person meetings.

Which Avoma alternative works for staffing agencies?
CoRecruit is built for recruitment and staffing firms: it captures calls without a visible bot, includes VoIP calling, and lists Bullhorn, Vincere, Loxo and Crelate among more than 40 systems, as of October 2026. Metaview's integrations list also includes agency systems such as Bullhorn and JobAdder.
