CoRecruit, formerly Quil, is an AI assistant built only for third-party recruitment firms: staffing agencies, boutique search and executive search. As of October 2026 it records video calls either with a note-taker bot or, without one, through its desktop app; includes a VoIP phone line with unlimited US and Canada calling; writes branded candidate submittals; and pushes notes and fields into more than 40 ATS and CRM systems, including Bullhorn, Vincere, Loxo and Crelate. Published prices start at $64 per user per month paid annually, on a 12-month minimum term. It is the most complete agency package we have reviewed; what to check is which capture mode your team will really use, its defaults (notes pushed to the ATS automatically, bot disclosures off) and the annual commitment.

Every fact below comes from CoRecruit's own site, help center and privacy policy, checked in October 2026 and linked. This review adds the help-center detail that our CoRecruit alternatives and Interview Signal vs CoRecruit pages leave out, and corrects one point those pages simplified: CoRecruit is not bot-free in every mode.

What is CoRecruit in 2026?

CoRecruit's AI information page says it was founded in 2023 in Canada, launched as Quil and later rebranded, and is built exclusively for third-party recruiting firms; asked whether it suits in-house HR teams, it answers no. The homepage now covers five jobs: an AI notetaker, client-ready submittals, automatic ATS updates, VoIP calling and, since September 2026, sourcing and contact data. The September announcement says sourcing drafts search filters from an intake call transcript or job description and checks more than 20 data providers for verified emails and phone numbers. A read-only MCP connector lets Claude or ChatGPT read your meetings, transcripts and summaries. It runs as a browser extension, a Mac and Windows desktop app, and iOS and Android apps.

Does CoRecruit join calls as a bot?

CoRecruit's marketing says no. Its pricing page lists "botless AI notetaking" with "no meeting disruption or visible bots", and its ATS updates page says no bot joins. Its help center describes both. The article on auto-join settings covers a "note taker bot" with two switches, auto-join external calls and auto-join internal calls, driven by your calendar; other articles cover joining 0 to 10 minutes early, pause, resume and leave commands typed in the chat, and a bot cover photo. Its privacy policy names Recall.ai as the provider of bots for Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet and Webex.

The botless route is the desktop app. When a call starts on Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, Slack Huddles or WhatsApp, it prompts you to record and then records locally, never joining as a participant. The FAQ says it records only if you accept the prompt. One caution in that article: if you also record your screen on a video call, the file is much larger, and CoRecruit suggests the bot-based setup for video meetings instead.

So CoRecruit can keep bots out of candidate calls, but only if your team uses the desktop app and an admin turns calendar auto-join off for external calls. Admins can lock these settings for a team.

How does CoRecruit handle phone screens?

This is where CoRecruit is strongest. Every plan includes VoIP with unlimited US and Canada calling and a worldwide calling credit of $10 a month per user, shared across the team, with no rollover; extra US, Canada and UK numbers are $10 a month billed annually, and you can port numbers in (FAQ). Calls on a CoRecruit number are recorded, summarized and logged, voicemails arrive as meetings, and inbound calling needs a CoRecruit number. The calling guide says an automated recording consent message plays before a call is recorded, on by default; if you switch it off, you take responsibility for consent in your jurisdiction.

If you keep your own mobile, you register it as a caller ID, then either dial CoRecruit's direct-calling number with your extension, or, for an inbound call, use "Conference me": CoRecruit calls you and you merge the calls, which puts CoRecruit on the line (Conference me guide). CoRecruit also integrates with Aircall, Dialpad, RingCentral, Zoom Phone, 8x8, 3CX and Ringover. Our guide to recording a phone screen compares these approaches.

What do the notes and submittals look like?

Notes follow meeting types you define, such as intakes, business development calls and reference checks, and the trial includes onboarding in which CoRecruit sets up your first three call templates. The submittals page describes branded candidate summaries, resume parsing and reformatting, video snippets from interviews and client follow-ups drafted after meetings, all editable before you send.

One detail matters for candidate privacy. CoRecruit's submittals article describes shareable pages with a unique public URL that need no login and can include summaries, resumes and video or audio snippets. That is convenient for clients and also a link anyone can open if it is forwarded. Tell candidates their clips may be shared, and delete submittal pages when a search closes. Our submittal template covers what belongs in one.

Which ATS does CoRecruit integrate with, and what does it write?

The integrations page lists more than 40 systems, including Bullhorn, Vincere, Crelate, Loxo, JobAdder, JobDiva, Invenias, Ezekia, Clockwork, Cluen, Firefish, PCRecruiter, Recruit CRM, Recruiterflow, Manatal, Lever and Ashby, plus HubSpot and Pipedrive. For Bullhorn, the help article says notes land on the linked candidate or contact, Bullhorn note actions map to CoRecruit activity types, standard and custom fields can be filled (not names, phone numbers or emails), and follow-up documents upload as attachments.

Check the default. CoRecruit's guide to pushing notes to your ATS says automatic push is the default for all accounts, alongside manual push after review and no push; the setting applies to everyone sharing that integration. Its ATS updates page also says records "move forward in your pipeline automatically based on the call". We would start on manual review: a wrong compensation figure written to Bullhorn is harder to catch than one in a draft. If stages change without a person deciding, ask your counsel whether that counts as an automated employment decision tool where you hire; see NYC Local Law 144 and AI note takers. This is not legal advice.

How much does CoRecruit cost?

From CoRecruit's pricing page and FAQ, as of October 2026. All plans carry a 12-month minimum term, with a 7-day free trial.

PlanSeatsMonthly, on an annual termPaid annually upfront
Starter1 or more$85 per user$64 per user
Growth10 or more$75 per user$54 per user
Professional25 to 99$71 per user$50 per user
Enterprise100 or moreTalk to salesThe FAQ says rates fall to $42 per user at 1,000+ users
Sourcing and data add-onAny planFrom $25 per user per month

As an example of the arithmetic, five recruiters on Starter paid upfront cost 5 × $64 × 12 = $3,840 a year, and adding sourcing at the entry price adds 5 × $25 × 12 = $1,500. Because the phone line is included, compare that against your current phone bill as well as other note takers; AI interview note taker pricing lists per-seat prices for tools that publish them.

Where does CoRecruit keep interview data?

CoRecruit says it is SOC 2 Type II certified and GDPR compliant, with recordings encrypted in transit and at rest, and its homepage mentions consent tools, redaction and regional storage; we did not find a named storage region. The privacy policy says meeting data is retained in the system and removed within 30 days of an account being deleted. Its subprocessor list includes AssemblyAI for transcription (raw audio removed after 7 days), Google Gemini for summarizing and categorizing notes, Recall.ai for meeting bots, Twilio and Telnyx for calling, and Microsoft Azure and MongoDB Atlas for hosting and data. The desktop app article adds that unless a meeting is marked private, it is visible to your team and synced to your ATS where possible. Ask how to delete one candidate's recordings, snippets and submittal pages on request, and get the answer in writing.

CoRecruit pros and cons

Pros

  • Phone capture that fits agency life: VoIP included, your own mobile supported, WhatsApp on the desktop.
  • Branded submittals, resume reformatting and client follow-ups built in.
  • Deep agency ATS coverage, with field and attachment updates in Bullhorn.
  • A botless desktop app, and a consent message on by default for VoIP calls.
  • Published prices, a trial and onboarding help.

Cons

  • A 12-month minimum on every plan.
  • The video-call default can be a bot, and bot disclosures are off until you enable them.
  • Notes push to the ATS automatically unless you change it.
  • Public submittal links can carry candidate video.
  • No named storage region, and transcripts sit in CoRecruit's cloud.

Who should choose CoRecruit?

CoRecruit fits a staffing or search firm that screens mostly by phone, runs Bullhorn, Vincere, Loxo, Crelate or another listed system, sends client submittals daily, and buys software on annual terms anyway. Look elsewhere if you are an in-house team, you want a monthly plan to test on one desk, or you already pay for a phone system you are keeping. CoRecruit alternatives maps each competitor against these jobs.

We make Interview Signal, a Windows and macOS app that captures interviews on the recruiter's computer with no bot, runs a question guide during the call and drafts a client submittal, with no annual commitment but no phone line and no ATS integration; everything about CoRecruit here comes from CoRecruit's own site, linked and dated. Our comparison covers where CoRecruit is the stronger choice.

What should you test in the 7-day trial?

Capture
- Check Settings: is bot auto-join on for external calls?
- One Zoom or Teams interview on the desktop app, hosted
outside your company. What did the candidate see?
- One phone screen on your mobile, one on CoRecruit VoIP.
Did the candidate hear the consent message?

ATS
- Set notes to manual push. Open the Bullhorn (or other) record
afterwards: right record, right fields, right note action?
- Did any candidate change stage without you deciding?

Submittals and data
- Publish one submittal page. Who can open the link?
- Ask in writing: storage region, retention period, and how to
delete one candidate's recordings and snippets.

Commercials
- Total for your seats, numbers and sourcing add-on for 12
months, and what happens if you leave mid-term.

Seven days is short, so schedule real screens for the first two days and keep the last two for the ATS and data questions. A tool that writes to your system of record deserves a test on your own records, not a demo account.

Questions people ask

Is CoRecruit the same company as Quil?

Yes. CoRecruit's site describes the product as formerly Quil, and its footer names SalesQ Technologies Inc doing business as CoRecruit, based in Burlington, Ontario, as of October 2026.

Does CoRecruit join Zoom and Teams calls as a bot?

It can do either. CoRecruit's help center describes a note-taker bot that auto-joins external or internal calls on your calendar, depending on your settings, while its desktop app for Mac and Windows records calls on your computer without a bot. Its marketing pages describe botless note-taking, so check which mode your team's settings use before candidate calls.

How much does CoRecruit cost?

As of October 2026, CoRecruit's Starter plan is $85 per user per month billed monthly on an annual term, or $64 paid annually upfront, with lower rates from 10 and 25 seats. Every plan has a 12-month minimum term and includes VoIP with unlimited US and Canada calling, and sourcing and contact data is an add-on from $25 per user per month.

Is CoRecruit suitable for in-house recruiting teams?

Not by its own account. CoRecruit's AI information page says it is built for third-party recruiting firms, meaning staffing agencies, boutique search firms and executive search firms, and answers no to whether it suits in-house HR teams, as of October 2026.

Does CoRecruit push notes into Bullhorn automatically?

Yes, by default. CoRecruit's help center says notes are pushed to the connected ATS as soon as a meeting finishes processing, unless an admin switches the integration to manual push after review or to no push. In Bullhorn, notes land on the linked candidate or contact, and supported fields and attachments can be updated too.
