The Interview Signal coaching report is the Coaching tab of the web account. For the week before, it shows each recruiter's interviews, the share of must-ask questions they covered, the share of suggested follow-ups they used, how complete their scorecards were and their average interview length, plus a short written note for anyone who ran at least three interviews. It is built only from counts the desktop app sends, never from transcripts, so it can say a must-ask was skipped but never how a question was asked. The pricing page lists the weekly coaching report as a Team feature. This describes version 0.9.10, current as of October 2026.

Where do I find the coaching report?

  1. Sign in to the web account at interviewersignal.com/app with your work email.
  2. Open the "Coaching" tab. The first line names the week, for example "Week beginning 2026-10-19." (an example date): the Monday of last week.
  3. Read the team figures, the table, and any notes below it.

Admins also get a weekly email headed with the agency name and the week, carrying the same table, a short "Worth a word this week:" list and an "Open the coaching tab" button. If nobody interviewed, the tab says: "No interviews were run that week, so there is nothing to report. Reports are generated on Monday mornings for the week before."

What does the report show?

  • Team figures (admins): "Interviews", "Must-asks covered", "Follow-ups used" and "Scorecards complete" for the whole team.
  • A table, one row per recruiter: Recruiter, Interviews, Must-asks, Follow-ups used, Scorecard and Avg length. Recruiters with no interviews that week are left out.
  • A note per recruiter who ran at least three interviews: a short summary, then "Worth tightening:" and "Next interview:", with up to three items each.

The notes stay inside the numbers. Examples of what one can say, from the app's own wording: "Clear the red must-ask dots before moving off the guide.", "Hit Evaluate after each answer rather than at the end." and "Use one suggested follow-up per interview and see what it surfaces."

How is each number counted?

NumberWhat it countsWhat moves it
InterviewsInterviews whose submittal was copied or exported at least onceCopy, Save .md, Export .docx, Add CSV row, Email to client or Copy ATS note… on the review screen. Copy for Slack and Copy next round do not count
Must-asks coveredMust-ask questions with a full tick, out of all must-asksA full tick comes from a strong match, from scoring, or from your own click on the question's circle. A half-filled circle does not count
Follow-ups usedSuggestions you pressed "Ask this" on, out of all suggestions shownWith Dual AI, both columns count as shown
Scorecards completeScorecard areas with a score, out of all areasThe model's score or your own, set with "+" on the area
Avg lengthAverage interview length in minutesPaused time is left out

Weeks run Monday to Sunday in UTC, and an interview belongs to the week it started. The table is recalculated whenever the tab is opened, so an interview exported on a Tuesday for the week before still appears there; the written note is the one generated on Monday morning. How ticks and follow-ups work during the call is in the question guide and follow-up suggestions guides.

Who can see whose numbers?

Nobody sees content, because there is none on the server. The tab says so: "There is no transcript to read, which is also why this can never comment on how a question was asked." The fields the app sends for each interview are listed on the security page.

How do teams use it?

  • In a weekly one-to-one. Start from the lowest number on a recruiter's row and the "Next interview:" line, then agree one change for the week.
  • For must-asks. A low "Must-asks" figure means facts a client needs, such as notice period or compensation, went unasked. The must-ask questions are set on each role's kit.
  • Alongside call reviews. Because the report cannot judge how a question was asked, pair it with listening to a call with the recruiter, as in how to coach recruiters with call reviews, or with the interviewer training checklist.

What can't the coaching report tell you?

  • The quality of a question, an answer or a candidate. It has counts only.
  • Anything about interviews that were never copied or exported.
  • Earlier weeks: the tab always shows last week, with no week picker or download.
  • Hiring outcomes. Interview Signal has no ATS integration, so it does not know who was placed.

Setting up seats so recruiters appear in the report is covered in the Team plan guide.

Questions people ask

What is in the Interview Signal coaching report?

For the week before, each recruiter's number of interviews, the share of must-ask questions covered, the share of suggested follow-ups used, how complete their scorecards were and their average interview length. Recruiters with at least three interviews that week also get a short written note with what to tighten and what to try in the next interview.

Can my manager read my interviews through the Interview Signal coaching report?

No. The report is built only from counts the desktop app sends, such as questions covered and minutes taken. Transcripts, quotes, candidate names, notes and submittals stay on the recruiter's computer, so there is nothing for an admin to read, and the report cannot comment on how a question was asked.

Why is an interview missing from my Interview Signal coaching report?

The app sends an interview's counts the first time its submittal is copied or exported: Copy, Save .md, Export .docx, Add CSV row, Email to client or an ATS note. An interview that was ended but never exported has not been sent, so it does not appear. Copy for Slack and Copy next round do not count as an export.

When is the Interview Signal coaching report updated?

Written notes are generated on Monday mornings for the week before, Monday to Sunday. The numbers in the table are recalculated each time you open the Coaching tab, so an interview exported late still appears in the week it took place.
