The Interview Signal web account, at interviewersignal.com/app, is where you manage the account behind the desktop app: your plan and billing, the people on a team, submittal templates and the weekly coaching report. You sign in with an emailed link or six-digit code, with no password. Interviews themselves run only in the desktop app, and the web account never shows a transcript, quote, candidate name or submittal, because none of them reach Interview Signal's servers. This describes the account page as it works with app version 0.9.10, current as of October 2026.

How do I sign in to the web account?

  1. Go to interviewersignal.com/login. From the desktop app, "Buy hours", "Upgrade", "Manage billing" or "Manage seats and billing" open the account's Billing tab in your browser, after the same sign-in if the browser is not signed in yet.
  2. Type the address under "Work email" (the one you were invited with, or the one the account is on) and press "Email me a link".
  3. Click the link in the email, or type the six-digit code and press "Sign in". Either works.
  4. If the address has no account yet, you are taken to "Set up your account" to choose a plan instead.

The session is kept only in that browser tab and ends when you close it, which suits a billing page opened on whatever computer is nearest. "Sign out" in the top bar ends it sooner.

What does each tab do?

"Open in the app" on the Roles tab opens that role's pre-interview screen in the desktop app, if the app is installed and already has the role. The installers are on the download page.

Why can't I see my interviews in the web account?

Because Interview Signal does not have them. The footer of the account page says it plainly: "Interview content never reaches this page, because it never reaches us." Transcripts, quotes, notes and submittals are written to the interviewer's computer. Candidate names and company names are also stored only there, although they are sent to the AI model when it writes the submittal.

What the account does hold is the plan and seats, saved roles (title, job description, brief and kit), your submittal templates, and one row of counts and durations per interview, such as questions covered and minutes taken. The full list is on the security page and in where your data is stored.

Who can see Billing and Members?

Admins. On Free, Pay as you go and Solo you are the only person on the account and its admin, so you see everything. On Team, members see "Only an admin can see billing. Ask whoever set up your team" under Billing and "Only an admin can invite or remove people." under Members. Everyone on a team sees the same Roles and Templates tabs, and a member's Coaching tab shows only their own week.

What do the messages after a payment mean?

  • "Payment received — your hours are added. Refresh in a moment if they are not showing yet." An hour pack went through. See how pay-as-you-go hours work.
  • "Payment received. If your plan has not updated yet, refresh in a moment." A Solo or Team payment went through; on Team the sentence is about the seat count.
  • "Checkout was cancelled. Nothing was charged." You closed the payment page before paying.
  • "Your plan already includes transcription, so there are no hours to buy." You picked an hour pack on the pricing page while on Solo or Team, which do not count minutes.
  • "A payment has not gone through. Interview Signal keeps working for now" A subscription payment failed. Update the card under Billing; the pricing page gives the grace period as seven days.

If a seat was removed or the subscription has lapsed, the page shows "This seat was removed" or "The subscription is not active" instead of the tabs, with a link to sign in with a different address.

Limits

  • There is no web version of the interview screen and no mobile app. Interviews need the desktop app on Windows or macOS.
  • Kits are not edited here. The Roles tab is a list with a link into the app.
  • Billing, members and template editing are for admins only.
  • There is no ATS integration in the web account or the app; submittals and notes are copied and pasted.
  • The session does not survive closing the tab, so expect to sign in again each visit.

Questions people ask

Where do I manage my Interview Signal plan and billing?

In the web account at interviewersignal.com/app, under the Billing tab. Sign in with the same email you use in the desktop app; an admin can buy hours, upgrade to Solo or Team, change the seat count, and open the billing portal for cards, invoices and cancellation. The Buy hours, Upgrade and Manage billing buttons in the desktop app open the same page in your browser.

Can I run an interview from the Interview Signal website?

No. Interviews run only in the desktop app for Windows 10 or 11 and macOS 13 or newer. The web account manages the plan, people, submittal templates and the coaching report, and lists your saved roles with a link that opens each one in the app.

Can an admin read my interview transcripts in the Interview Signal web account?

No. Transcripts, quotes, candidate names, notes and submittals are kept on the recruiter's own computer and never reach Interview Signal's servers, so the web account has nothing to show. An admin sees counts only, such as interviews run and must-ask questions covered, in the Coaching tab.

How do I sign in to the Interview Signal web account without a password?

Type your work email on the sign-in page and press Email me a link. Interview Signal emails a link and a six-digit code; either one signs you in. The session lasts until you close that browser tab.
