MeetGeek works for recruiting when your team uses Greenhouse and wants a choice between a meeting bot and bot-free capture. As of October 2026 it records Zoom, Meet and Teams with a bot or without one through a Chrome extension or desktop app, syncs recordings, transcripts and highlights to Greenhouse, and stores calls made on Aircall or RingCentral. It does not name any other ATS, describes no scored interview scorecard, and limits each meeting to 2 hours on its free and Pro plans.
Below: MeetGeek's plans translated into interviews, the capture modes on a candidate call, what its interview page promises, where it stops, and a setup that makes it more useful for hiring.
What does MeetGeek do well for interviews?
- A choice of capture. The pricing page lists "Bot & bot-free recording" on every plan: a bot for Zoom, Google Meet and Teams, or the Chrome extension and desktop recorder without one.
- Greenhouse sync. Its Greenhouse integration says it "automatically enriches your ATS with meeting recordings, transcripts, highlights."
- Phone systems. Aircall and RingCentral integrations store recordings, transcripts and summaries of calls on those systems.
- Templates. The interviews page describes templates that capture "candidate strengths, weaknesses, and expectations," shareable with the hiring team.
- Languages. Transcription in 100+ languages with automatic language detection.
MeetGeek's plans, in interview terms
Published on MeetGeek's pricing page as of October 2026. The last column is arithmetic.
| Plan | Price per user | Transcription a month | Longest meeting | What that means for interviews |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | Free | 3 hours | 2 hours | About six half-hour screens; transcripts kept 3 months |
| Pro | $9.99/mo yearly, $15.99 monthly | 20 hours, then $0.50 an hour | 2 hours | 40 half-hour screens; 60 would add about $5 |
| Business | $17/mo yearly, $27 monthly | Unlimited | 3 hours | A full-time desk, long panels, consent notifications |
| Enterprise | Custom | Unlimited | 4 hours | Security and admin needs of large teams |
The Pro overage example: 60 half-hour screens is 30 hours, 10 over the allowance, so 10 × $0.50 = $5 extra that month. Yearly, Pro is $9.99 × 12 = $119.88 and Business $17 × 12 = $204 per user. MeetGeek offers 30% off for startups, non-profits and education, and a 14-day trial of Business.
Three Business features matter in hiring: "Private meetings by default," "Rules to skip meetings you don't want recorded," and "Recording consent notifications." If you want MeetGeek to notify candidates, budget for Business.
How does MeetGeek capture an interview?
| Mode | What the candidate sees | Use it for |
|---|---|---|
| Bot or agent | A participant in Zoom, Meet or Teams | Panels you are not on, or when your company prefers a visible recorder |
| Desktop app | Nothing; "the recording never appears in the participant list" | Candidate calls on macOS or Windows |
| Chrome extension | Nothing in the meeting | Browser calls on Meet, Webex and others |
| Aircall or RingCentral | Whatever your phone system announces | Phone screens on those systems |
| Mobile app | A phone on the table | In-person interviews |
The desktop app page says it captures "calls on any platform including Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, Slack or WhatsApp" and reminds you to "always let participants know they're being recorded." The pricing page also lists "One Bot Per Meeting," which stops several colleagues' bots joining the same panel interview. The Wave device for phone calls and in-person meetings was marked "SOON."
What does MeetGeek's interview page promise?
MeetGeek's interviews page makes four claims for hiring teams. Each is reasonable, and each has a condition worth knowing before you rely on it.
- "Comprehensive candidate profiles." The notes are a summary of the conversation. They become a profile only when someone checks them against the transcript and adds what the template missed.
- "Data-driven hiring decisions based on recorded evidence." Evidence means the candidate's own words matched to a criterion. A summary paragraph is a pointer to the evidence, not the evidence.
- "A searchable repository of candidate profiles." Searching past interviews by keyword, name or question is genuinely useful when a role reopens. It is also a store of personal data, so it needs a retention period.
- "Coach yourself to ask the right questions." Reviewing your own transcripts for which questions produced specific answers is one of the better uses of any recorder, and it needs nothing beyond the transcript.
On retention, the plans decide much of it for you: Basic keeps transcripts 3 months and audio 1 month, Pro keeps transcripts 1 year and audio 6 months, and Business keeps transcripts without limit and video for 12 months. Match that to your own records policy rather than the plan's defaults; how long to keep interview notes sets out the competing rules.
Where does MeetGeek stop for recruiting?
Gaps we could not find covered on MeetGeek's pages as of October 2026:
- Greenhouse only. The integrations page lists Greenhouse under ATS and no other. Lever, Ashby, Workable and agency systems such as Bullhorn would need Zapier, Make, n8n or the API.
- Summaries, not scores. Templates organize notes; nothing describes rating against competencies with evidence. The scorecard template gives you the structure to fill.
- No live interview structure. No question guide or must-ask tracking is described for the call itself.
- Phone screens depend on your phone system. Mobile and desk phones outside Aircall or RingCentral are not covered until the hardware ships. See how to record a phone screen for other routes.
- Sales features in the bundle. Objection and competitor detection are irrelevant to hiring; ignore them.
A setup that makes MeetGeek work for interviews
- Use the desktop app for candidate calls and keep the bot for internal debriefs.
- Turn on private meetings by default (Business), so interviews are not shared with the whole workspace.
- Connect Greenhouse and test with one interview before your team relies on it; check which candidate and which interview the notes attach to.
- Say your notice line, even with consent notifications on. Our consent script has wording; this is not legal advice.
- Build one interview template with the sections below and set it as the default for interview meetings.
Sections for a MeetGeek interview template
MeetGeek templates organize notes by section. These sections keep the output close to evidence:
- Evidence per competency: one section per must-have, asking for the candidate's exact words with timestamps, or "No evidence."
- Logistics: compensation expectation, notice period, location, work authorization, other processes.
- Questions not covered: must-ask topics that did not come up.
- Follow-ups for the next round.
Leave out sections for "culture fit," "energy" or "communication style." Those invite impressions rather than evidence; what not to write in interview notes explains the risk.
Checking the Greenhouse sync
- Does the note land on the right candidate when two people share a name?
- Does it attach to the interview stage or only the candidate profile?
- Who in Greenhouse can see the recording link?
- What happens to the synced copy when you delete the MeetGeek meeting?
Write the answers down for your team. A sync that works for one recruiter on day one can still put a hiring manager's private remarks in front of the wrong people a month later, and the four questions above take ten minutes to answer with a test candidate.
MeetGeek next to recruiting-specific tools
| Need | MeetGeek | Recruiting-specific tools |
|---|---|---|
| Bot or no bot | Both, on every plan | Varies by tool |
| Greenhouse sync | Yes | Common |
| Other ATS | Via automation tools | Wider native lists in some |
| Phone screens | Aircall, RingCentral | Dialers or computer-audio capture in some |
| Scorecards with evidence | Template-based summaries | Core feature in several |
| Price for a daily interviewer | $9.99 to $17 a month yearly | Usually higher per seat |
When to choose MeetGeek, and when not
Choose MeetGeek if:
- You are an in-house team on Greenhouse and want transcripts and highlights on the candidate record.
- Your recruiters call candidates through Aircall or RingCentral.
- Some interviewers want a bot and others do not, and you want one tool for both.
Look elsewhere if:
- Your ATS is not Greenhouse and you do not want to build an automation.
- You need evidence-based scores or a client submittal rather than a summary.
- Your panels regularly run past 2 hours and you are not on Business.
We make Interview Signal, one alternative for the second case; everything about MeetGeek here comes from MeetGeek's own site, linked and dated. It is a desktop app with no bot that builds a scorecard during the call with quotes checked against the transcript and works on phone screens through the computer's audio, but it has no Greenhouse sync: notes are shaped for Greenhouse and pasted by hand. For Greenhouse-specific options, see AI note takers for Greenhouse.
Questions people ask
Does MeetGeek integrate with Greenhouse?
Yes. MeetGeek's Greenhouse integration page, checked October 2026, says it syncs meeting recordings, transcripts and highlights to Greenhouse. Its pricing page lists unlimited integrations from the Pro plan up. Greenhouse is the only applicant tracking system on its integrations page.
Can MeetGeek record an interview without a bot?
Yes. MeetGeek offers a bot for Zoom, Google Meet and Teams, and bot-free recording through its Chrome extension or its desktop app for macOS and Windows. Its desktop page says no bot joins and the recording never appears in the participant list.
Can MeetGeek capture phone screens?
Through integrations. MeetGeek lists Aircall and RingCentral integrations that store recordings, transcripts and summaries of calls made on those systems. Its Wave hardware for phone calls and in-person meetings was marked as coming soon in October 2026.
Is MeetGeek's free plan enough for interviews?
For a handful. As of October 2026 the free Basic plan gives 3 hours of transcription a month with a 2-hour limit per meeting, about six half-hour screens. Pro gives 20 hours for $9.99 a month billed yearly or $15.99 monthly, with extra hours at $0.50.
