Breezy HR sits between the ATSs that have no interview AI at all and the ones with a full native notetaker. As of October 2026 it records interviews held on its own integrated video for Business and Pro customers, and it sells AI Interview Analysis, a beta add-on that reads the transcript of a video interview and returns a summary, key topics, candidate responses and a score against criteria you set. What it does not do is act as a general notetaker for every call your team makes.

This page covers what the native features need and where they stop, the third-party notetakers that list Breezy, the plan gates on both sides, and what to test before relying on any of it. Every vendor fact links to the page we checked.

What Breezy does natively

  • Video and recording: Breezy's video interviews article describes its own browser-based video plus Zoom, Teams and Meet connections. Recording is available on Business and Pro plans for Breezy's integrated video, enabled when you schedule. Recordings land in the candidate's Documents tab, usually within minutes. The article does not describe transcripts or summaries.
  • AI Interview Analysis: the AI Interview Analysis article describes a beta subscription that "can be added to any paid plan". It evaluates transcripts from Meet, Teams, Zoom or Breezy video against up to five criteria and shows a summary and score in the candidate's profile.
  • Activity Summary: Breezy's Activity Summary summarizes a candidate's journey (stage moves, messages, scorecards) using Breezy Intelligence credits. It is not an interview transcript.
  • Plans: Breezy's pricing page lists Startup at $157, Growth at $273 and Business at $439 a month on annual billing ($189, $329 and $529 monthly), plus a Custom Pro plan. Business lists video interview recording. Breezy Intelligence credits start at $30 per 100,000.

How AI Interview Analysis actually works

The details in Breezy's article matter, because they decide which interviews get analyzed:

  1. Admin turns it on in Company Settings under Breezy Intelligence, after buying the subscription.
  2. Position owners enable it per job and set up to five criteria, each a title and a prompt. Generating criteria from the job description uses credits.
  3. Whoever schedules opts in per video interview. It cannot be used with scheduling links.
  4. The transcript must exist. For Teams, a Microsoft 365 admin grants transcript access and transcription must be on for every meeting. For Zoom, the host needs Cloud Recording and Audio Transcript on. For Meet, the user approves access. Breezy video needs nothing extra.
  5. At least 200 words of transcript are needed; failures do not count against your allowance.

Results appear under Interview Analysis in the candidate profile: a combined score, then per-interview key topics, candidate responses, notable signals and a score per criterion. Breezy says this score does not feed the Candidate Score from scorecards.

The compliance question with an AI score

A notetaker that writes down what was said is one thing. A tool that scores the candidate against criteria is another, and in some places that changes your obligations. New York City's rules on automated employment decision tools, for example, turn on whether a tool substantially assists or replaces discretionary decision making, as of October 2026. Our guide to Local Law 144 and AI notetakers explains the distinction, and it is worth reading before you enable scoring for roles in covered locations. This is not legal advice; check with counsel for the places you hire.

Practical safeguards: keep criteria job-related and written down, do not let the score substitute for a completed scorecard, and tell candidates that AI is used to analyze the interview, not only that it is recorded.

Third-party notetakers that list Breezy

Metaview's Breezy article adds several details: the connection is authorized through Kombo, a Metaview subprocessor; setup takes up to 48 hours; Metaview does not schedule calls from Breezy and instead matches calendar-booked calls to candidates; and Breezy candidate data is not available as a Sourcing search channel. Its pricing page lists a free tier of 25 calls a month and Pro at $60 a user a month.

We did not find Noota, Fireflies, Carv, Screenloop or Tactiq documenting a Breezy integration on the pages we checked.

Native versus partner: the plan arithmetic

The plan gates point in different directions. Breezy's own recording sits on Business; AI Interview Analysis can be added to any paid plan; Metaview needs Custom Pro. A team on Growth that wants AI help with interviews therefore has one realistic native path (Interview Analysis on a video platform that produces transcripts) and would need a plan change for Metaview's integration.

Illustrative, from published prices as of October 2026 (not a quote):

Breezy Growth (annual): $273/month
+ AI Interview Analysis: subscription price not published on the pages we checked
+ Breezy Intelligence credits: from $30 per 100,000

Breezy Business (annual): $439/month
includes recording on Breezy's integrated video

Metaview with Breezy: requires Custom Pro (quote)
Metaview Pro: $60 per user per month

The phone-screen gap

Neither Breezy recording nor AI Interview Analysis covers phone calls. Breezy's pricing page lists SMS as an add-on, which is messaging, not call capture. Metaview's phone calls guide describes calling candidates through a registered number, which covers the gap if you are on Custom Pro. Otherwise our guide to recording a phone screen lists options.

What to test before rollout

CheckPass looks likeResult
Transcript availabilityTeams, Zoom and Meet interviews actually produce transcripts Breezy can read
Criteria qualityEach prompt is job-related and two reviewers agree with the scores on sample interviews
Scheduling linksRecruiters know Interview Analysis does not apply to self-scheduled interviews
Recording locationRecordings in the Documents tab are visible only to the hiring team
Scorecards still doneInterviewers complete Breezy scorecards rather than leaning on the AI score
DeletionA candidate's recording, transcript and analysis can be removed on request

Test the criteria hardest. Score five past interviews by hand, run them through the analysis, and look at where the two disagree. Disagreements usually point to a vague prompt rather than a bad model.

A two-week pilot on one position

Because Interview Analysis is switched on per position and per interview, it lends itself to a contained pilot:

  1. Pick one position with at least six video interviews coming up, on a single video platform so transcript settings only need fixing once.
  2. Write the criteria with the hiring manager, using the same requirements as the Breezy scorecard, so the analysis and the scorecard measure the same things.
  3. Schedule every pilot interview from the candidate profile, not a scheduling link, and opt in each time.
  4. Have interviewers submit scorecards before opening the analysis, so their judgment is not anchored by the AI score.
  5. Compare afterwards: where the analysis and the scorecard disagreed, read the transcript and decide which was right.

If phone screens are part of the same process, count how many went unrecorded during the pilot. That number tells you whether you need a second tool or a manual note format for calls.

If you use AI Interview Analysis, say so: "We record this interview, and an AI tool analyzes the transcript to help our team review it. A person makes the decision." Our consent script has fuller versions, and our AI disclosure template covers written notice.

Standalone tools, and who each option suits

Interview Signal has no Breezy integration. It is a desktop app with no bot that captures audio on the interviewer's computer, including phone screens, and exports a scorecard quoting the candidate that you paste into Breezy.

  • Breezy recording (Business): teams that interview on Breezy's own video and want the recording on the profile.
  • AI Interview Analysis: teams that want structured analysis of video interviews and are ready to manage the compliance side of AI scoring.
  • Metaview: Custom Pro customers who want written notes, phone capture and a free tier to trial.
  • BrightHire: larger teams wanting an interview intelligence platform, after confirming Breezy specifics in a demo.
  • A standalone tool: phone screens, interviews booked by scheduling link, or plans without the API.

Questions people ask

Does Breezy HR have its own AI notetaker?

Partly. As of October 2026 Breezy's help center describes recording interviews held on Breezy's integrated video for customers on Business and Pro plans, and a beta AI Interview Analysis add-on that reads interview transcripts from Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Zoom or Breezy video and produces a summary, key topics and a score against your criteria. It is closer to interview scoring than to a plain notetaker.

Does AI Interview Analysis work on phone screens?

Breezy's article names Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Breezy's integrated video as supported, and says a video meeting transcript must be available. Phone calls are not mentioned, and the feature cannot be used with scheduling links.

What Breezy plan does Metaview need?

Metaview's help center says you need Breezy's Custom Pro plan, its enterprise or custom tier, for the Breezy API and webhook subscriptions to be enabled. Teams on Startup, Growth or Business should confirm with Breezy before planning a Metaview rollout.

Does the AI Interview Analysis score affect Breezy's candidate score?

No. Breezy's help article says the Interview Analysis score does not contribute to the Candidate Score derived from Applicant Insights and candidate scorecards. Interviewers still complete scorecards themselves.
