ClearCompany, which renamed itself ClearCo in March 2026, has its own AI notetaker, so most customers do not need a third-party tool to get interview notes into the system. As of October 2026 ClearCo lists an AI notetaker that captures interview conversations and writes summaries, and an Interview Agent that briefs the interviewer beforehand and drafts the scorecard afterwards for the interviewer to approve. We found no outside AI note taker that lists a ClearCompany integration, so any other tool means pasting notes in by hand.

This page covers what ClearCo's own AI does around interviews, what its public pages leave unsaid, which integrations we checked, how to paste notes from another tool, and what to test before a rollout. Every product fact links to the page we read, dated October 2026. If you are still choosing a note taker for an in-house team in general, start with our guide to the best AI note takers for in-house recruiters.

Is ClearCompany now called ClearCo?

Yes. In a post dated March 23, 2026, ClearCompany announced it was becoming ClearCo, saying the platform had grown beyond recruiting into onboarding, performance, engagement, learning, compensation and people analytics. The website is still clearcompany.com, and the homepage says it is trusted by 3,000 organizations. It sells to in-house HR and talent teams, not agencies, and its pricing page lists packages (ClearRecruit for hiring teams, ClearTalent, TotalTalent and others) without prices.

What does ClearCo's own AI do around interviews?

ClearCo groups its AI under Talent AI. As of October 2026 that page and the Recruiting Experience page describe these interview-related features:

  • AI notetaker: captures interview conversations automatically and generates summaries, so interviewers can stay present.
  • Interview intelligence: organizes interview insights in one place so the hiring team can review discussions quickly.
  • Interview Agent: a 60-second candidate snapshot before each interview (resume highlights, possible skill gaps and questions anchored to your scorecard), then drafted scorecards after the interview that need the interviewer's review and approval.
  • AI-assisted interviews: AI prepares interviewers, captures key moments during the conversation and drafts scorecard input afterwards.
  • Sourcing Agent: AI prescreening in which candidates complete an AI-conducted screening call on their own schedule, with results ranked by score, full transcripts and category breakdowns.

The Interview Agent and Sourcing Agent are part of the Agent Platform that ClearCo announced on June 16, 2026, with general availability set for July 16, 2026. The announcement says agents ask for explicit confirmation before any consequential action, such as advancing a candidate or closing a role.

What ClearCo's public pages do not say

ClearCo's help center sits behind a customer login, so the public pages are all we could check. They do not say how the notetaker captures a call (a visible bot, a calendar connection or something else), which video platforms it supports, whether it records phone screens or in-person interviews, which languages it transcribes, how long recordings and transcripts are kept, or whether it costs extra in your package. Ask for each in writing before you rely on it.

Which AI note takers integrate with ClearCompany?

None that we could find. This is what we checked, as of October 2026:

Where we lookedWhat it shows
ClearCo's integration library (all nine pages)About 100 entries: background checks, assessments, job boards, payroll and HR systems, Gmail, Outlook, Office 365, Microsoft Exchange, iCal, Slack, Okta and HireVue for video interviewing. No AI note taker or meeting recorder.
Metaview's ATS integration guidesNo ClearCompany or ClearCo guide.
BrightHire's integrations pageNot listed.
Employ's AI Interview Companion integrationsNot listed.
Fireflies' ATS integrationsNot listed.

That leaves two routes: ClearCo's own notetaker, or an outside tool whose notes you paste into ClearCo. Our guide to getting AI notes into an ATS without an integration covers the general method.

How do you get notes into ClearCompany without an integration?

Because ClearCo's help articles are not public, we cannot quote field names or character limits. The Recruiting Experience page describes interview guides, scorecards and a shared feedback loop where interviewer feedback sits in one place, so the scorecard is where outside notes should land. A practical routine:

  1. Ask your ClearCo admin which field interviewers should use for evidence (scorecard comments, a candidate note or an attachment) and whether there is a length limit.
  2. Paste evidence, not the transcript. Two or three short quotes per competency are what a debrief reads. A full transcript in a comment field is hard to read and keeps more personal data than you need.
  3. Enter ratings yourself. Keep the score your own judgment, whatever tool drafted the notes.
  4. Decide where transcripts live. If the outside tool keeps them, record that in your retention schedule and know who deletes them when a candidate asks.

How do the realistic options compare?

We make Interview Signal, one of the tools below; everything about the other products comes from their own sites, linked and dated. As of October 2026; "not stated" means the vendor pages we read do not say.

Interview Signal has no ClearCompany integration: you copy the scorecard or export it as Markdown or Word and paste it in. Its ready-made note formats are for Bullhorn, Greenhouse, Lever and JobAdder only, not ClearCo. It is desktop only, does not record video, is a newer product with few public reviews, and a phone screen must run through the computer to be captured.

  • Consent is yours to collect. ClearCo's AI addendum says the subscriber is responsible for transparency, for obtaining all consents required by law and for human oversight of AI features. Read it with your legal team before switching the notetaker on.
  • Sensitive data. The same addendum says customers will not put protected health information, government identification numbers or financial account details into AI features. Candidates sometimes volunteer health details in interviews, so agree how interviewers handle that in summaries.
  • AI-scored screening. The Sourcing Agent ranks candidates by score. If you hire in New York City, read our page on Local Law 144 and AI note takers before using scores in decisions.
  • A spoken notice on every call. Use the same opening line whichever tool records. Our consent script has wording, and our guide to calls across state lines covers the stricter rule.

This is not legal advice.

What should you test before rollout?

CheckPass looks likeResult
Capture methodYou know whether a bot joins, and candidates see a notice before recording starts
PlatformsZoom, Teams or Meet interviews you actually run are captured; phone and in-person rounds have a plan
Drafted scorecardsInterviewers edit and approve drafts; ratings are not left as the AI wrote them
Evidence qualityEach competency note quotes the candidate, not a paraphrase
RetentionRecordings and transcripts follow your written retention period
DeletionA candidate's recording and transcript can be deleted on request

A scorecard comment format that works with any tool

[Interview] – [Requisition] – [Date] – [Interviewer]

Competency: [name] Rating: [my rating]
  Evidence: "[candidate's words]"
Competency: [name] Rating: [my rating]
  Evidence: "[candidate's words]"

Not covered in this interview: [ ]
Concern for the next round: [ ]
Recommendation (my judgment): [ ]
Recorded with consent: [yes / no]

Whether the draft comes from ClearCo's Interview Agent or an outside tool, this keeps the rating and recommendation in the interviewer's words. Our interview scorecard template covers the structure in more depth.

Who should pick which option?

  • ClearCo's AI notetaker and Interview Agent: best for ClearCo customers whose interviews are scheduled in ClearCo and who want drafts inside the scorecard, once the capture and consent questions above are answered.
  • Metaview: best for recruiters who want a dedicated recruiting note taker with a free tier and phone capture, and accept pasting notes into ClearCo.
  • BrightHire: best for larger teams that want interview intelligence across phone, video and in-person rounds and can get a price quote.
  • Interview Signal: best for individual interviewers who want no bot, quote-backed scorecards and transcripts kept on their own computer, and who are fine pasting.

Run one tool per interview. Two recorders on one call means two consent notices, two copies of the conversation and two places a deletion request has to reach. For how interview intelligence platforms differ more broadly, see our interview intelligence software guide, and for why a general meeting recorder is not the same thing, our comparison of general and recruiting note takers. Other in-house suites are covered on our Cornerstone page.

Questions people ask

Does ClearCompany have a built-in AI notetaker?

Yes. As of October 2026 ClearCo, the name ClearCompany has used since March 2026, lists an AI notetaker among its Talent AI features that captures interview conversations and generates summaries, plus an Interview Agent that drafts interview scorecards for the interviewer to review and approve. Its public pages do not say which meeting platforms the notetaker joins, whether it appears as a bot, or whether it covers phone screens, so ask for those details in a demo.

Which AI note takers integrate with ClearCompany?

We found none as of October 2026. ClearCo's integration library of about a hundred partners lists background check, assessment, job board, payroll, calendar and single sign-on tools but no third-party AI note taker, and the integration pages of Metaview, BrightHire, Employ's AI Interview Companion and Fireflies do not list ClearCompany or ClearCo.

Is ClearCompany the same company as ClearCo?

Yes. ClearCompany announced on March 23, 2026 that it was becoming ClearCo, describing the new name as reflecting a unified talent platform covering hiring, onboarding, performance, learning and compensation. The company still uses the clearcompany.com website and signs its pages ClearCompany LLC.

Who is responsible for candidate consent when ClearCo's AI records an interview?

The customer. ClearCo's AI addendum says the subscriber is responsible for providing transparency and obtaining all consents required by applicable law, and for keeping human oversight of AI features. Use a spoken consent line at the start of every recorded interview and keep notice text for each state you hire in. This is not legal advice.
