Ceipal has invested in AI that talks to candidates, not AI that listens to recruiters. Its Voice Agent runs voice AI interviews with candidates on their phone or in a browser, and its AI assistant summarizes candidate profiles, according to Ceipal's own site in October 2026. We found no Ceipal feature that records and transcribes a call a recruiter makes. For that, the options are partners: Metaview lists Ceipal as an integration, call platforms such as CloudCall record calls, and several AI phone screeners write their results into Ceipal.

This page separates those three kinds of tool, because staffing desks often buy one when they need another. It covers what Ceipal does natively, what each partner type puts into Ceipal, the checks to run, and a submittal-ready note format. Every vendor fact links to the page we checked.

What Ceipal does natively

  • Voice Agent: Ceipal's AI page describes voice AI interviews, in which an AI agent interviews the candidate on a mobile device or in a browser. That is a screening step run by software, not a record of a recruiter's conversation.
  • Profile summaries: the same page describes an AI assistant inside the ATS that summarizes candidate profiles.
  • Microsoft Teams: Ceipal's Teams integration covers scheduling meetings. We found no description of recording or transcribing them.

If your recruiters do their own phone screens and client-prep calls, which most staffing desks do, the native tools leave those conversations undocumented unless someone types the notes.

Call platformCloudCall (Ceipal directory), FreJun (FreJun page)Places and records callsCloudCall: automatic call recording; FreJun: calls logged with notes

We did not find BrightHire, Carv, Fireflies, Otter or Tactiq documenting a Ceipal integration. Metaview's published pricing is a free tier of 25 calls a month and Pro at $60 a user a month (pricing); ask Metaview what its Ceipal connection writes before you rely on it.

Screener or notetaker: which problem do you have?

An AI screener and a notetaker solve different problems, and on Ceipal the screeners are far better represented.

  • If the bottleneck is volume, such as hundreds of applicants for light industrial or healthcare shifts, an AI screener like Ceipal's Voice Agent or Classet does first-round conversations you would never have had time for.
  • If the bottleneck is quality of record, such as recruiters who run good calls but write thin notes, a screener does not help. You need the recruiter's own call captured.
  • If the bottleneck is speed to submittal, both can help, but only a notetaker gives you the candidate's words from the conversation the recruiter actually had.

Many desks will want both: a screener for the top of the funnel and a notetaker for the recruiter-led calls that follow. Our guide to AI note-takers for staffing agencies covers the notetaker side in general.

The phone-call gap

Staffing recruiters live on the phone, and that is where Ceipal's native tools are thinnest. CloudCall's listing describes recording calls automatically, and FreJun logs calls with notes. A recording solves the "what did they say" dispute but not the time problem: someone still has to listen back to write a submittal. Before choosing a call platform for this reason, check whether its plan includes transcription or AI summaries. Our guide to recording a phone screen covers alternatives.

Cost of an AI screener, as an example

An illustrative example built from published prices as of October 2026, not a quote:

Classet: from $249/month
Classet with ATS Sync to Ceipal: from $1,995/month
Metaview (notetaker): Free 25 calls/user/month; Pro $60/user/month
CloudCall, FreJun, HeyMilo, ConverzAI, Glider AI, FlairX:

The gap between Classet's entry plan and its ATS Sync plan is the price of automatic write-back into Ceipal. For a desk with modest volume, copying results by hand may be cheaper; at high volume, it rarely is.

Rolling out to a desk without breaking the database

Staffing databases are where duplicate records and overwritten fields do the most damage, because a wrong pay rate or an old availability date goes straight into a submittal. A cautious sequence:

  1. Start with two recruiters, one high-volume and one specialist, for two weeks. Different call styles expose different problems.
  2. Keep write-back narrow at first. Let the tool add notes or attachments but not change structured fields until you have checked a sample.
  3. Review twenty records at the end of week one. For each, compare what the tool wrote with what the recruiter knows was said. Count errors, not impressions.
  4. Agree what recruiters still type themselves. Pay rate, work authorization and client-specific requirements are usually worth confirming by hand even when the AI captured them.
  5. Widen only after the sample is clean, and repeat the check monthly for the first quarter.

If you are adding both an AI screener and a call recorder, roll them out separately. When two new tools write to the same applicant record in the same fortnight, it is hard to tell which one caused a problem.

What to test before rollout

CheckPass looks likeResult
What actually syncsYou can name the Ceipal field or tab where each output lands
Record matchingOutput attaches to the existing applicant, not a new duplicate
Custom fieldsScreener scores in custom fields do not overwrite recruiter data
Recording consentCall recording announces itself or recruiters say it, every time
Submittal speedThe note is ready before you need to submit, not after
DeletionA candidate's recordings and transcripts can be deleted on request

The "what actually syncs" check matters most for Metaview on Ceipal, since public pages do not say. Ask for a written description and see it on a test applicant before paying for seats.

A submittal-ready note format for Ceipal

[Job] – [Client] – [Date] – [Recruiter call / AI screen / client interview]

Recommendation: [Submit / Hold / Pass]

Fit, in the candidate's own words:
- [Requirement]: "[quote]"
- [Requirement]: "[quote]"
- [Requirement]: "[quote]"

Pay rate: current [ ] expected [ ]
Availability / start: [ ]
Work authorization: [as stated by the candidate]
Location / remote / shift: [ ]
Other active submittals: [ ]
Consent to record given: [Yes]

The source line tells the account manager whether a quote came from an AI screen or the recruiter's own call, which matters if a client asks how the candidate was assessed. Our candidate submittal template and screen-to-submittal workflow show the next step.

  • Recording: say it at the start of every call. Our consent script and guide to calls across state lines cover the stricter all-party rule.
  • AI screening: an AI interviewer that scores candidates may fall under state and local AI-in-hiring rules. See our overview of AI hiring laws by state.
  • Client preferences: some clients do not want candidates screened by AI; record which ones on the job order.

Standalone tools, and who each option suits

Interview Signal has no Ceipal integration. It is a desktop app with no bot that captures audio on the recruiter's own computer, so phone and video screens are handled the same way, keeps transcripts local, and produces a scorecard and submittal quoting the candidate that you paste into Ceipal or attach to the applicant. If you need automatic write-back, use one of the integrated tools above.

  • Ceipal Voice Agent or Classet: high-volume desks where first-round screening is the bottleneck.
  • CloudCall or FreJun: desks that want calls recorded and logged against the applicant.
  • Metaview: desks that want a notetaker and are willing to confirm what syncs in a pilot.
  • A standalone tool: recruiters who need submittal-ready notes from their own calls now.

Questions people ask

Does Ceipal have its own AI notetaker?

Not for calls your recruiters run, as far as we found in October 2026. Ceipal's Voice Agent conducts voice AI interviews with candidates on mobile or in a browser, and its AI assistant summarizes candidate profiles, but we found no Ceipal feature that records and transcribes a recruiter's Zoom, Teams, Meet or phone call. Its Microsoft Teams integration is for scheduling.

Which AI notetakers integrate with Ceipal?

Metaview lists Ceipal on its integrations page, but we could not confirm from public pages what it syncs into Ceipal. Ceipal's own directory lists call recording tools such as CloudCall and AI phone screeners such as Classet, HeyMilo, ConverzAI, Glider AI and FlairX, which interview candidates rather than taking notes on your calls.

Can Ceipal record recruiter phone calls?

Through partners. CloudCall's listing in Ceipal's integrations directory describes automatically recording calls, and FreJun says it logs calls with notes in Ceipal. These give you a recording or call log; check whether a transcript or summary is included before assuming notes are written for you.

How much does Classet cost with Ceipal?

Classet's Ceipal integration page lists plans from $249 a month, with its ATS Sync option from $1,995 a month, as of October 2026. Classet runs AI phone screens and syncs summaries, transcripts and recordings to Ceipal.
