Workable does not have its own notetaker for live interviews. Its help center is unusually candid about it: the article on Workable's AI capabilities points you to its Supernormal and BrightHire integrations for interview transcription, as of October 2026. Metaview is also documented on Workable's help center, and Noota, Carv and Tactiq describe Workable connections on their own sites. The choice is about where you want notes to land in Workable and how much you want to spend on top of your Workable plan.
This page sets out what Workable does natively, the integrations documented on each side, what reaches the candidate profile, and what to test before your hiring managers rely on it. Every vendor fact links to the page we checked.
What Workable does natively
- No live notetaker: Workable's AI capabilities article routes interview transcription to its Supernormal and BrightHire integrations rather than a native feature.
- Video Interviews are one-way: Workable's Video Interviews overview describes candidates recording answers to set questions, a premium feature. That is an asynchronous screen, not notes on a live conversation.
- Plans: Workable's pricing page lists Standard at $299 a month with Video interviews as a $109-a-month add-on, Premier at $599 and Enterprise at $719, in the 1 to 20 employee view we checked. Prices change with company size.
Integrations, compared
As documented on Workable's help center, Workable's partner pages, or each vendor's own site, as of October 2026.
| Tool | Documented by | What reaches Workable | Published pricing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Metaview | Workable help center and Metaview | Interview summaries as internal comments on the candidate profile | Free 25 calls/mo; Pro $60/user/mo (pricing) |
| BrightHire | Workable help center and BrightHire | Interview notes pushed to the activity feed | Quote-only (pricing) |
| Supernormal | Workable help center | Transcriptions as internal comments | Check Supernormal's site |
| Noota | Noota integration page | Meeting summary added as a note | Business $39/user/mo billed annually |
| Carv | Carv integration page | Not detailed on the page we checked | Check Carv's site |
| Tactiq | Tactiq AI workflow page | Workflow-based; confirm what it writes | Check Tactiq's site |
The Supernormal article is on Workable's help center but may not reflect Supernormal's current product, so check with Supernormal that the integration is still maintained before choosing it.
Comments versus the activity feed
The integrations put their output in different parts of the Workable profile, and that affects who sees it:
- Internal comments (Metaview, Supernormal): sit in the conversation hiring team members already use to discuss a candidate. Easy to find, but a long summary can push shorter human comments out of view.
- Activity feed (BrightHire): sits alongside stage moves and emails. Good for a chronological record, but reviewers may scroll past it.
- Notes (Noota): check exactly where Noota's note appears in your Workable account during a trial, since its page says "note" rather than naming the panel.
None of the Workable-side articles we checked describes filling Workable's own evaluation scorecards. Interviewers will still need to complete the scorecard, using the notes as evidence. Our guide to evidence-based feedback shows how.
The scheduling catch
Workable's Metaview article says only interviews scheduled through Workable are captured automatically. Hiring managers who book interviews from their own calendar, or recruiters who call candidates without a Workable event, will not get notes unless they add the notetaker by hand. Before rollout, agree that interviews are scheduled from Workable, or accept that some will be missed.
Setup needs a Super Admin: Metaview's connection uses a token created in Workable's Service Integrations settings. Use a shared admin account if you can, so the connection does not break when one person leaves.
The phone-screen gap
Workable has no native calling. CloudTalk is listed as a Workable partner that logs calls, which gives you a record that a call happened but is a phone system rather than a notetaker. Of the notetakers, check phone support with each vendor directly: the Workable-side articles describe scheduled interviews, not mobile calls. Our guide to recording a phone screen covers the options.
What it costs on top of Workable, as an example
An illustrative example from published prices as of October 2026, not a quote. A small team on Workable Standard with five interviewers who want notes:
Workable Standard: $299/month (1–20 employee view)
+ Video interviews add-on (one-way only): $109/month
Notetaker options for 5 interviewers:
Metaview Free: $0 (25 calls per user per month)
Metaview Pro: $60 × 5 = $300/month
Noota Business: $39 × 5 = $195/month (billed annually)
BrightHire: quote-only
Note that the one-way video add-on does not give you live-interview notes, so do not buy it expecting that. For a team doing fewer than 25 interviews per person a month, a free tier may be enough to start.
Running a fair two-week trial
Most Workable customers are small enough that a short trial on real interviews is practical and tells you more than any demo. A structure that works:
- Choose one open job with at least eight interviews in the next two weeks, mixing recruiter screens and hiring manager rounds.
- Schedule every trial interview from Workable, since that is what triggers automatic capture for the documented integrations.
- Use one tool per interview, never two on the same call, and tell candidates which one is running.
- After each interview, have the interviewer note how long they spent editing the summary and whether anything in it was wrong.
- At the end, ask the hiring manager which output helped them decide fastest. That answer usually settles it.
Keep the trial honest about phone screens. If half your first-round conversations happen by phone and the tool you prefer only covers scheduled video, the trial should show the gap rather than hide it. Count how many interviews in the two weeks were captured automatically, how many needed manual steps, and how many were missed altogether. A tool that captures nearly every video call but none of the phone screens may still be the right choice, but only if you have planned how the rest get documented.
What to test before rollout
| Check | Pass looks like | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Placement | Hiring managers find the summary where they expect, without being told | |
| Scheduled versus ad hoc | Workable-scheduled interviews are captured; others are flagged or added manually | |
| Comment visibility | Internal comments are not visible to anyone outside the hiring team | |
| Accuracy | Quotes in the summary match the recording | |
| Scorecards still done | Interviewers complete Workable evaluations rather than relying on the summary | |
| Deletion | A candidate's recording and transcript can be deleted in both systems |

Keeping summaries to this length stops them burying the rest of the comment thread. Our interview scorecard template covers the scorecard side.
Consent
- One spoken line for every interview, whatever the tool. Our consent script has wording.
- Hiring managers' own calls: make sure they know a notetaker is running and what to say.
- Retention: set how long recordings stay in the notetaker separately from Workable's candidate retention.
Standalone tools, and who each option suits
Interview Signal has no Workable integration. It is a desktop app with no bot that captures audio on the interviewer's computer, including phone screens, keeps transcripts local, and produces a scorecard quoting the candidate that you paste into a Workable comment or evaluation. If you want notes posted automatically, use one of the integrations above.
- Metaview: small teams that want a free tier and summaries in internal comments.
- BrightHire: larger teams that want an enterprise interview intelligence platform and activity-feed notes.
- Noota: teams that want published per-seat pricing and a simple note.
- A standalone tool: interviews booked outside Workable, phone screens, or interviewers who prefer no bot.
Questions people ask
Does Workable have a built-in AI notetaker?
No live-interview notetaker as of October 2026. Workable's own help article on its AI capabilities points to its Supernormal and BrightHire integrations for interview transcription. Workable's Video Interviews feature is one-way, where candidates record answers, and sits on a paid add-on.
Where do Metaview notes appear in Workable?
Workable's help center says Metaview posts interview summaries as internal comments on the candidate profile. Setup uses a token created by a Super Admin in Service Integrations, and only interviews scheduled through Workable are captured automatically.
Does BrightHire integrate with Workable?
Yes. Workable's help center documents a BrightHire integration that pushes interview notes to the candidate's activity feed in Workable, as of October 2026. BrightHire's pricing is quote-only.
Can a Workable notetaker capture phone screens?
Workable has no built-in calling. CloudTalk is listed as a Workable partner that logs calls. For notetaker integrations, check each vendor's phone support, since the Workable-side documentation focuses on scheduled video interviews.
