The main Krisp alternatives for job interviews are Granola, Otter, Fireflies, Bluedot, Metaview and Interview Signal. As of October 2026, all six can capture a call without a bot joining, but none offers Krisp's two-way noise cancellation, so the right swap depends on what you need instead: an ATS write-back (Metaview, Bluedot for Ashby, Fireflies for some agency systems, Otter for Greenhouse), phone screens on a business dialer (Fireflies, Bluedot for Zoom Phone), or interview structure such as a question guide and scorecard (Interview Signal). Krisp remains the better choice when bad audio is the main problem.

We make Interview Signal, one of the tools below; everything about the other products comes from their own sites, linked and dated. For Krisp itself in an interview, read Krisp for interviews, or the head-to-head Interview Signal vs Krisp.

Why do interviewers look for a Krisp alternative?

Krisp is a strong product with a different center of gravity. Its AI meeting assistant page leads with noise cancellation and accent conversion, and the note taker sits on top. For interviewers, the reasons to look elsewhere tend to be:

  • No hiring workflow. Krisp's output is summaries, decisions and action items. We found no question guide, scorecard or submittal on its pages.
  • No ATS. The pricing page lists Slack, Notion, Zapier, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Affinity, Salesforce and ConnectWise, but no applicant tracking system.
  • Recordings in the cloud. Krisp's help center says recordings "are kept in the cloud," encrypted, with 10 GB or 60 GB of storage depending on plan.
  • Newer computers only. Krisp's requirements list macOS 14 Sonoma or higher and 64-bit Windows 10 or 11.

Which alternative fits which interviewer?

Granola

Granola's home page says it "uses your computer audio, so doesn't invite a bot," works with Zoom, Google Meet, Teams and other meeting apps, and runs on macOS, Windows, iOS and Android. You type rough notes during the call and Granola fills them out from the transcript. Its pricing page lists a free Basic plan with 30 days of history, Business at $14 per user a month, and a per-user setting to let people know you are using Granola, which Enterprise can enforce. Best for: interviewers who want Krisp-style bot-free capture with better note shaping. Weak spot: no noise cancellation, no ATS, and no interview scorecard. See Granola for recruiting.

Otter.ai

Otter's desktop app records "without a bot across Slack Huddles, Zoom, Google Meet, and in-person"; its standard notetaker joins Zoom, Teams and Meet. The pricing page caps each conversation at 30 minutes on the free Basic plan, 90 minutes on Pro ($8.33 a month billed annually, $16.99 monthly) and 4 hours on Business ($19.99 annually, $30 monthly). Its Recruiting Agent advertises notes sync with Greenhouse. Best for: low-cost transcripts and Greenhouse teams. Weak spot: Pro's 90-minute cap can cut a long final interview, and the desktop page does not name Teams.

Fireflies.ai

Fireflies joins as a bot unless you use its Chrome extension or its desktop app, which offers "botless meetings" on Windows 10+ and macOS 12+ and shows a Fireflies indicator so participants know the notetaker is on. Its integrations page lists Loxo, Gem ATS, Workable and Breezy HR among ATS options and dialers including Zoom Phone, RingCentral, Aircall, Dialpad and OpenPhone. Free, then Pro at $10 per seat a month billed annually or $18 monthly. Best for: desks that screen by phone on one of those dialers. Weak spot: general meeting output, not interview structure.

Bluedot

Bluedot's Chrome extension records "bot-free" on Meet, Zoom, Teams, Slack huddles and Webex, with Mac and Windows apps and an optional bot. It syncs interview feedback into Ashby on its Business plan and imports recorded Zoom Phone calls. Basic is $14 a month billed yearly but caps each recording at one hour. Best for: Meet-first in-house teams on Ashby. Weak spot: one documented ATS.

Metaview

Metaview is the recruiting-specific choice with the widest ATS list, including Ashby, Bullhorn, Greenhouse, JobAdder, Lever, Loxo and Workable on its integrations page. Its notetaker joins as a bot, its desktop app records "without a bot joining the call," and phone calls go through the Metaview switchboard. Free covers 25 calls a month; Pro is $60 per user a month. Best for: teams whose real pain is retyping notes into the ATS. Weak spot: the highest per-seat price here. See Metaview alternatives.

Interview Signal

A Windows and macOS desktop app that captures the interviewer's microphone and the meeting's sound, with no bot, beside Zoom, Teams, Google Meet and phone screens taken through the computer. During the call it builds a question guide from the job description, suggests follow-ups with a reason and fills a scorecard; afterward each score carries the candidate's quotes, checked against the transcript, and a client submittal is drafted in your template. Transcripts stay on your computer. Best for: recruiters who need evidence, not summaries. Weak spots: no ATS integration, no noise cancellation, desktop only with no mobile or web app, no video recording, few public reviews, and phone screens must run through the computer.

What if you only use Krisp for noise cancellation?

Krisp's pricing FAQ says there is no separate noise-cancellation-only plan, because it is built into every plan, and that you can disable the meeting assistant if you only want clean audio. That leaves three options:

  1. Keep Krisp for audio, add an interview tool. Krisp's help article on what it sends to the cloud says noise cancellation runs locally on the device. Test any second audio tool alongside it on a mock call first.
  2. Use your meeting platform's own processing. Google's Workspace pricing page lists "noise cancellation" for Meet video meetings from Business Standard up, as of October 2026.
  3. Fix the input. A wired headset with a boom microphone removes much of the noise on your side before any software sees it, which no note taker can do for you.

How should you choose?

  1. Where should the notes end up? If the answer is an ATS record, start with Metaview, or Bluedot for Ashby, Fireflies for its listed ATS, Otter for Greenhouse.
  2. How do you screen by phone? A business dialer points to Fireflies or Bluedot; a softphone on your computer works with Granola-style or Interview Signal capture.
  3. Do you need scores or summaries? Summaries are everywhere; a scorecard with quotes is rarer.
  4. What does a month cost at your volume? Check caps per conversation as well as per month; our pricing guide walks through the arithmetic.

How do you test a Krisp alternative on a real screen?

1. Run a mock 45-minute interview, longer than most free caps.
2. Do it from a noisy room, then compare transcripts with and
   without Krisp running.
3. Run one phone screen on your real setup.
4. Check what lands in your ATS, or how long pasting takes.
5. Read every quote against the transcript before you trust it.

Whichever tool you pick, tell candidates a note taker is running; our consent script has wording you can read aloud. This is general information, not legal advice. More bot-free options are compared in AI note takers without a bot.

Questions people ask

What is the best Krisp alternative for recruiters?

It depends on what Krisp is missing for you. As of October 2026, Metaview suits teams that want notes written into an ATS, Granola suits people who want bot-free notes they shape themselves, Fireflies suits phone-heavy desks on supported dialers, and Interview Signal suits recruiters who want a live question guide and a scorecard with the candidate's quotes. None of them matches Krisp's noise cancellation.

Is there a free alternative to Krisp for interview notes?

Several have free plans, as of October 2026. Otter's Basic plan includes 300 transcription minutes a month but caps each conversation at 30 minutes, Granola's Basic plan keeps 30 days of history, Metaview's Free plan covers 25 calls a month, Bluedot's covers five meetings in total, and Interview Signal gives 20 free minutes. Krisp itself offers a 7-day free trial rather than a free plan.

Which Krisp alternative also cancels background noise?

None of the note takers compared here lists noise cancellation the way Krisp does, as of October 2026. Google's Workspace pricing page lists noise cancellation in Meet video meetings from Business Standard up. Many interviewers keep Krisp for audio and use a separate tool for interview notes, after testing the two together on a mock call.

Which Krisp alternatives work without a bot joining the interview?

Granola, Otter's desktop app, Fireflies' desktop app and Chrome extension, Bluedot's extension and desktop apps, Metaview's desktop app and Interview Signal all capture without a bot, according to each vendor's site as of October 2026. Otter, Fireflies and Metaview also use bots in their default or other modes, so check which mode your team uses.
