Metaview and HireLogic both capture interviews across video, phone and in-person conversations and turn them into structured notes, but they differ on price visibility, ATS coverage and how each interview type is captured. As of October 2026, Metaview publishes its pricing (Free for 25 calls a month, Pro at $60 per user per month), lists more than 100 ATS, captures phone calls through its switchboard and now has a botless desktop app. HireLogic offers a free sign-up but no published price, captures phone calls when you conference in its number, records in-person interviews through a companion app, and says it stores no audio or video.

Every vendor fact below comes from Metaview's and HireLogic's own sites, checked in October 2026 and linked. If you are building a longer list, start with Metaview alternatives or HireLogic alternatives.

How do Metaview and HireLogic compare at a glance?

Which one handles phone screens better?

Phone screens are where these two differ most, and where switching tools usually breaks something, so compare the workflows step by step.

Metaview's switchboard

Metaview's phone FAQ says you first register your outbound number. Then you call through the switchboard or use one-click calling from the browser or your phone. If the call is scheduled, you dial 1# at the start time for dial assist; if it drops, 2# reconnects to the last number. It works with mobile and landline calls and VoIP services such as Teams Phone, Google Voice, RingCentral and Aircall, but not WhatsApp or FaceTime. It does not capture general inbound calls, so a candidate ringing back is missed unless that call started through Metaview. Metaview says it does not charge extra for the phone option; your normal carrier rate applies to the switchboard call.

HireLogic's conference-in

HireLogic's homepage says: "Conference in the HireLogic phone number to listen to your call." That is a three-way call, which most phones and softphones can do. The site does not list supported countries or carriers, so test it on your own phone system.

A practical difference follows:

  • Metaview wants the call to start through Metaview. That suits scheduled outbound screens from a desk.
  • HireLogic is added by conferencing it into the call. Ask whether that works on a call the candidate started, which would cover call-backs that Metaview's FAQ says it misses.

Run the same five phone screens through both before you decide. Our guide to recording a phone screen has a test script and the consent points.

How does each handle video and in-person interviews?

On video, both add a participant by default. Metaview's Notes FAQ describes its Notetaker on Google Meet, Teams, Webex and Zoom, which a host may need to admit from the lobby. HireLogic joins Zoom, Teams or Meet when you invite it by email. Metaview has one option HireLogic does not describe: a desktop app for Mac and Windows, announced on October 12, 2026, that records "without a bot joining the call." Supported meeting apps and plans are not listed yet.

In person, HireLogic is specific: "Open the HireLogic companion app on any device to start listening." Metaview's interview notes page says it captures notes "from video and phone calls to in-person meetings," but the help pages we checked do not describe the steps. If onsite interview days are a big part of your process, ask Metaview to demonstrate it.

What does each produce, and where does it go?

Metaview's interview notes page describes notes as Q&A, topic highlights or custom templates, answers mapped into scorecards, shareable candidate summaries, video snippets, and reports on question coverage and talk time, and says "notes and completed scorecards post to the candidate's record automatically." Its integrations page shows more than 100 ATS, including Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, iCIMS, Bullhorn, SmartRecruiters, JobAdder and Loxo.

HireLogic's homepage describes dynamic summaries in short, medium or long versions, topic highlights, a match of the discussion against the job description, a keyword cloud, strengths and concerns, and potential compliance issues, delivered by email, in the platform or to the ATS. Its Why HireLogic page mentions a "zero login" option that sends insights into the ATS without the user signing in, but neither page names an ATS. Ask for the list before the demo.

What is each building beyond notes?

Metaview's homepage lists Sourcing, Application Review, Screening, Reports, Outreach and Job Posts, plus an AI coworker that finds candidates, runs outreach and books screening calls. HireLogic lists intake call analysis that generates job descriptions and interview guides, an interview companion app that captures ratings, a chatbot over past interviews, résumé analysis, team analytics and automated AI interviews.

The split is useful: Metaview extends toward the top of the funnel (finding and screening candidates), HireLogic toward the interview itself (better intake, better guides, compliance flags). If your problem is inconsistent interviews, HireLogic's direction fits; if it is recruiter capacity, Metaview's does. Either way, a written guide still matters; our interview guide template is a starting point.

How do they compare on price?

Metaview's pricing page shows Free at $0 with 25 calls per month, Pro at $60 per user per month with unlimited calls, and Enterprise at tailored pricing, as of October 2026; its FAQ says Free users have restricted access to calls older than 14 days. HireLogic's homepage offers "Sign up for free" and a demo request, with no prices on the site, and its former pricing page address returned a not-found error in October 2026.

As an example, 6 recruiters on Metaview Pro is 6 × $60 = $360 a month, or $4,320 a year. Use that as the benchmark when HireLogic's quote arrives, converted to the same per-seat monthly figure.

Which suits your team?

  • Metaview, best for: in-house and agency teams that want a published price, scorecards written into a named ATS, and the option of botless capture on Mac and Windows.
  • HireLogic, best for: HR, staffing and RPO teams that run frequent in-person interviews, take inbound phone calls, want intake calls turned into guides, or need a vendor that says it keeps no audio or video.

On compliance, HireLogic's homepage flags "discriminatory or personal questions" after the interview, which is useful coaching but arrives after the question was asked. Structured questions and a short interviewer briefing prevent most of those problems; see how to reduce bias in interviews.

What should you ask both vendors?

Both
- Run a phone screen on [our phone setup] while we watch:
steps, what the candidate hears, minutes to notes.
- Show an in-person interview captured on [device].
- Show the result on a real [our ATS] candidate record.
- How is a candidate told, and what happens if they decline?
- Retention: how long are transcripts kept by default, and
how do we delete one candidate's data?

Metaview
- Which meeting apps and plans include the desktop app?
- Which agents are included in Pro?

HireLogic
- Written price for [N] seats, minimum term, renewal terms.
- Which ATS systems are supported today, by name?
- Does conferencing in work on inbound calls?

Score each answer the same day, and mark which ones you saw demonstrated and which were promises.

What if neither fits?

If what you need is nothing joining the call and no dial-in step, with the phone screen captured through the recruiter's own computer, we make Interview Signal, a Windows and macOS desktop app that works that way, with published pricing; it does not integrate with an ATS, records no video, and phone screens must run through the computer. Everything about Metaview and HireLogic on this page comes from their own sites, linked and dated. For other head-to-heads, see BrightHire vs HireLogic and Metaview vs Carv.

Questions people ask

Should I choose Metaview or HireLogic?

Choose Metaview if you want a published price, a named integration with your ATS and a wider recruiting platform: it lists more than 100 ATS and Pro costs $60 per user per month, as of October 2026. Choose HireLogic if you run many in-person interviews, want intake calls turned into job descriptions and interview guides, or prefer a tool that says it stores no audio or video; it does not publish prices.

How do Metaview and HireLogic record phone interviews?

Metaview captures phone calls you place through its switchboard or one-click calling from a registered outbound number, and does not capture general inbound calls. HireLogic captures a phone call when you conference in the HireLogic phone number. Both methods are from the vendors' own pages as of October 2026.

Can Metaview or HireLogic record an in-person interview?

HireLogic says you open its companion app on any device in the room to start listening. Metaview's interview notes page says it captures in-person meetings, but the help pages we checked in October 2026 do not describe the steps, so ask Metaview to demonstrate it.

Does Metaview or HireLogic join the call as a bot?

Both join video calls as a participant by default: Metaview's Notetaker on Zoom, Teams, Meet and Webex, and HireLogic when invited by email to Zoom, Teams or Meet. Since October 2026 Metaview also offers a Mac and Windows desktop app that records without a bot; HireLogic does not describe a bot-free option on its site.
