Noota for recruiting: bot or no bot, 16 ATS connections and the settings to change first
On this page
Noota is a French AI meeting assistant that markets itself directly to recruiters: it records interviews with a bot or without one, drafts a candidate write-up and scorecard on your template, and writes them into one of 16 applicant tracking systems, including Bullhorn, Loxo, Workable and SmartRecruiters. It also records phone calls through Aircall, Ringover, 3CX or its own calling, and in-person interviews from its mobile app. As of October 2026 paid plans run from 19 to 39 per user a month billed annually, data is hosted in Europe, and two defaults need changing before a candidate call: who gets the summary and who is told about the recording.
Below: how Noota captures each kind of interview, its plans in recruiting terms, what reaches the ATS, the consent and data settings, and where it stops. Every product fact links to Noota's own site or help center and is dated October 2026. For general meeting tools reviewed the same way, see our Otter and Granola pages.
How does Noota capture an interview?
Noota's recruitment page answers the question recruiters ask first: video interviews on Teams, Meet, Zoom or Webex with a bot or without one, phone calls through Aircall, Ringover or 3CX or the Noota mobile app, and in-person interviews with the mobile app. The method matters, because it decides what the candidate sees.
| Method | Interviews it covers | Does Noota notify the candidate? | Plan |
|---|---|---|---|
| Meeting bot | Zoom, Teams, Meet, Webex | Yes: the bot joins as a participant and posts a recording message | All plans; the only mode on Free |
| Desktop app (Windows, macOS) | Any meeting on your computer | No | Pro and above ("invisible recording") |
| Chrome extension | Browser meetings | No | Not stated separately |
| Mobile app (iOS, Android) | In-person interviews, calls on the go | Not described | All plans list mobile apps |
| Phone systems and Noota calling | Aircall, Ringover, 3CX; Noota's own VoIP, click-to-call and bring-your-own-number | Not described | Business and Enterprise for Noota's own calling |
The notification column comes from Noota's help article "Do other participants receive notification when I start recording?", which says the desktop app and Chrome extension do not notify other participants and recommends telling them yourself. Noota's pricing FAQ and security page say participants are automatically notified; read that as true for the bot only. The desktop app also offers a "Text only" mode that keeps the transcript and no audio or video, which is worth considering for candidate calls.
What does Noota cost for a recruiter?
From Noota's pricing page, as of October 2026. The page shows euros with a dollar toggle, and Noota's own site summary lists Pro at $19 and Business at $39, billed annually.
| Plan | Per user a month | What matters for interviews |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 0 | Bot-only recording, one month of storage, Free accounts archived after 30 days; summaries shared with all participants unless you change it |
| Pro | 19 billed annually, 29 monthly | Bot-free recording, six months of storage, CRM and ATS connections, choose who sees your notes |
| Business | 39 billed annually, 49 monthly | Phone call recording and calling, unlimited storage, automations that fill ATS fields, your own report templates and branding, API |
| Enterprise | Custom, 50+ seats | SSO, retention from 1 day to 3 years, sovereign hosting option |
| Recruitment Agent (Taalent) add-on | €99 billed annually, €139 monthly | Sourcing, outreach, AI voice pre-screening and interview reports, on top of a paid plan |
For a working recruiter, the realistic choice is Pro (video interviews into the ATS) or Business (if phone screens should land in the same place). As an example, one recruiter on Business billed annually pays 39 × 12 = 468 a year, before any local phone number add-on.
What reaches the ATS?
Noota's integrations FAQ says you choose per integration what is sent: the AI report, the transcript, the recording or the tasks. To an ATS it attaches the note to the right candidate, and on Business and Enterprise it also fills record fields from the conversation for you to review before saving. The sync runs a few minutes after the call, and can wait until you have reviewed the report.
The sixteen ATS on Noota's list are Bullhorn, Teamtailor, Workable, Recruitee, SmartRecruiters, Flatchr, Tool4Staffing, AD-MEN, Boond, MySolution, Hiresweet, Nicoka, Zoho Recruit, Zoho People, Loxo and Beetween, and its integrations directory also shows BambooHR. That list leans toward European and agency systems. Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, iCIMS, JobAdder and Crelate are not on it, so teams on those use Zapier (a "New Report" trigger) or the API.
Write-ups, scorecards and client presentations
- Your template. Noota suggests turning your interview guide into a Noota template so the report follows your own questions and criteria.
- Scorecards from what was said. Noota's recruitment FAQ says it fills in the scorecard you designed from the candidate's answers and does not assess or rank candidates.
- Client-ready presentations. Candidate presentations follow your template and, on Business, carry your agency's branding, sent as a PDF, a link or a drafted follow-up email.
- Interviews in other languages. Noota lists more than 50 languages, with write-ups in yours.
The Taalent add-on is different: its page describes sourcing that scores and ranks profiles against the job, AI voice pre-screening calls and role-play assessments that are scored. Tools that score or rank candidates can fall under automated decision rules such as NYC Local Law 144; check with counsel before switching it on.
Which settings should you change before the first candidate call?
- Stop summaries going to candidates. Noota's pricing FAQ says the Free plan's summary is automatically shared with all participants, and its help article shows the switch: My Account, General Settings, Sharing, turn off "Share summary by email" or share only with yourself.
- Choose the capture method per interview. The bot gives the candidate a visible notice; the desktop app does not. If you go bot-free, say the consent line yourself.
- Keep the bot out of meetings you will record another way. Noota's help center explains how to stop the assistant joining a specific meeting or all of them.
- Switch off sentiment analysis if you do not want it on candidate calls. Noota's security page says administrators can turn it off for the whole organization.
- Set retention and deletion. Noota says a deleted meeting is erased from production and backups within 24 hours, Enterprise admins can set retention from 1 day to 3 years, and recordings are never used to train AI models.
- Check where data is stored. For EU customers Noota names Google Cloud data centers in Belgium and the Netherlands; US recruiters should confirm the location for their own account during the trial.
Some states require everyone's consent to record; see two-party consent states and is it legal to record a job interview. This is general information, not legal advice.
Where does Noota stop for recruiting?
Gaps on Noota's own pages as of October 2026. They may change, so check before deciding.
- Several large US ATS missing. No Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, iCIMS or JobAdder connection is listed.
- Phone screens need Business for Noota's own calling, or a supported phone system.
- Bot-free means no notice. The desktop app and extension leave the candidate unaware unless you tell them.
- Nothing live for must-ask questions. Noota lists live transcription and live questions to its assistant, but no interview guide that ticks off required questions during the call.
- Pricing in euros. US buyers should confirm the dollar price and the billing currency on the quote.
Who should use Noota for interviews?
A good fit if:
- You are an agency on Bullhorn, Loxo or one of the European systems Noota lists, and want write-ups in the candidate record without copying.
- You interview by video, phone and in person and want one tool and one report format for all three; for room setup see our in-person interview guide.
- You hire in Europe and want EU hosting and a supplier that documents GDPR and EU AI Act positions.
Look elsewhere if:
- Your ATS is Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby or JobAdder and you need a native connection.
- You want a tool that guides the interview live rather than writing it up afterward.
We make Interview Signal, one alternative: a Windows and macOS app with no bot that keeps a question guide with must-ask questions on screen during the call and drafts a scorecard and submittal whose quotes are checked against the transcript. It has no ATS integration (you paste the output) and no mobile app. Everything about Noota on this page comes from its own site, linked and dated. For in-person interviews recorded on a dedicated device, see our Plaud review.
Questions people ask
Which applicant tracking systems does Noota connect to?
As of October 2026 Noota lists sixteen: Bullhorn, Teamtailor, Workable, Recruitee, SmartRecruiters, Flatchr, Tool4Staffing, AD-MEN, Boond, MySolution, Hiresweet, Nicoka, Zoho Recruit, Zoho People, Loxo and Beetween. ATS connections start on the Pro plan. Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and JobAdder are not on that list, so those teams would use Zapier or Noota's API.
Does Noota tell the candidate the interview is being recorded?
Only when its bot joins. Noota's help center says the meeting bot appears as a participant and posts a recording message, while the desktop app and Chrome extension send no notification to other participants, as of October 2026. When you record without the bot, say a consent line yourself.
Is Noota's free plan safe to use for candidate interviews?
Check one setting first. Noota's pricing FAQ says unlimited recording on the Free plan requires the bot to join all calendar meetings and that the meeting summary is automatically shared with all participants. Its help center shows how to turn off sharing the summary by email so a candidate does not receive your notes.
Can Noota record phone screens and in-person interviews?
Yes. Noota says phone calls through Aircall, Ringover or 3CX are recorded like video meetings, its own VoIP calling is included on the Business plan, and in-person interviews are recorded with the iPhone or Android app, as of October 2026.
