The main Notta alternatives for recruiters as of October 2026 are Otter for a cheap transcript with a workable free plan, Fireflies for ATS sync and phone calls captured on the desktop, MeetGeek for Greenhouse teams who dial through Aircall or RingCentral, Jamie for EU data and no bot, Granola for typed notes filled out by AI, Metaview for notes written into a long list of applicant tracking systems, and Interview Signal for scorecards and client submittals built from the call. Which one fits depends on why you are leaving Notta: its 3-minute free cap, no ATS, phone screens, or no structure for the interview itself.

We make Interview Signal, one of the tools below; everything about the other products comes from their own sites, linked and dated.

What does Notta still do well for recruiters?

Notta is good value and has two features most rivals lack. Pro costs $8.17 a month billed yearly for 1,800 minutes a month and recordings of up to 5 hours (Notta pricing). It transcribes two languages at once in 23 languages, and its Pro-plan Privacy Mode transcribes offline with a local model, with "no cloud upload" (Notta bot-free guide). Our Notta for recruiting review covers it in depth; this page is about what to use instead.

Why do recruiters look for a Notta alternative?

  • The free plan cannot hold an interview. It gives 120 minutes a month but stops each conversation at 3 minutes (pricing).
  • No ATS. The integrations page lists CRMs, Zapier, Notion and Slack, but no Greenhouse, Lever, Bullhorn or JobAdder.
  • Phone screens need a workaround. Notta describes importing a call recording, or buying the $149 Notta Memo that attaches to a phone.
  • No interview structure. Nothing describes a question guide, must-ask tracking or scorecards; custom AI templates are the closest thing.
  • Built for other jobs. Its "Built for" list names consultants, sales, customer success, media, education and agencies, not recruiting.

Each alternative, and who it suits

Otter

Otter is the closest like-for-like swap. Its desktop app records without a bot, and its free Basic plan gives 300 minutes a month with a 30-minute cap per conversation, against Notta's 3 minutes. Pro is $8.33 a month billed yearly ($16.99 monthly) but stops each meeting at 90 minutes and transcribes six languages (Otter pricing). Its Recruiting Agent adds resume summaries, interview agendas and a Greenhouse sync that the page says uses Zapier. Phone calls must be recorded separately and imported. Our Otter vs Notta for interviews page compares the two line by line. Best for: recruiters who want a free plan that captures short calls, or Greenhouse teams.

Fireflies

Fireflies joins with its Notetaker bot, or records system audio from its desktop app without one. That desktop app also captures phone calls: on a Mac, iPhone calls through FaceTime's Calls from iPhone setting; on Windows, Android or iPhone calls paired through Phone Link (Fireflies help). It lists seven applicant tracking systems (integrations), and Pro is $10 a seat a month billed yearly (pricing). Best for: in-house recruiters on Greenhouse, Lever or Ashby who also screen by phone.

MeetGeek

MeetGeek records with a bot or without one through its desktop app and Chrome extension, syncs recordings, transcripts and highlights to Greenhouse, and connects to Aircall and RingCentral. Its free plan gives 3 hours a month, and Pro is $9.99 a month billed yearly for 20 hours (MeetGeek pricing). See MeetGeek for recruiting for the details and Interview Signal vs MeetGeek for a direct comparison. Best for: in-house teams on Greenhouse whose recruiters dial through Aircall or RingCentral.

Jamie

Jamie runs on your device with no bot and keeps data in Europe: its documentation says audio is deleted once the transcript is ready and transcripts are stored in Frankfurt (Jamie data handling). It can email attendees a recording notice before the meeting. It cannot record phone calls and names no ATS; Pro is $46 a month billed yearly (pricing). More in Jamie for interviews. Best for: European interviewers who need EU data residency and a notice sent before the call.

Granola

Granola uses your computer's audio, so it never invites a bot, and fills out the notes you type from the transcript. It does not store meeting audio (Granola security), and its iPhone app handles outbound phone calls only. Basic is free with 30 days of history; Business is $14 per user per month (pricing). No ATS is named. Best for: interviewers who like typing their own notes and want them tidied up.

Metaview

Metaview is built for recruiting. Its Notetaker joins Google Meet, Teams, Webex and Zoom, a desktop app for Mac and Windows records "without a bot joining the call" (Metaview desktop), and phone calls go through the Metaview switchboard. Its integrations include Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, Bullhorn, JobAdder, Loxo and Crelate. Free covers 25 calls a month; Pro is $60 per user per month (pricing). Best for: recruiting teams that want interview notes written into their ATS.

Interview Signal

Ours is a desktop app for Windows 10/11 and macOS 13+ with no bot. It works beside Zoom, Teams, Meet and phone screens taken through the computer, shows a question guide from the job description with must-ask questions pinned, suggests follow-ups, and fills a scorecard as you go. Afterwards every score carries the candidate's quotes, checked against the transcript, and a client submittal follows your template. Hour packs start at $9 and never expire; Solo is $49 a month (pricing). Weaknesses: no ATS integration, desktop only with no mobile or web app, no video recording, few public reviews yet, no bilingual mode listed, and phone screens must run through the computer. Interview Signal vs Notta compares the two directly. Best for: recruiters whose work after the call is a scorecard or a submittal.

What if you rely on Notta's bilingual transcription?

Then think twice before switching completely. None of the alternatives above describes Notta's bilingual mode, which transcribes two languages at once with the original and translation side by side. Fireflies lists a Multi-language Mode on Business (pricing), MeetGeek lists automatic language detection across 100+ languages (pricing), and Jamie lists notes and transcripts in 99+ languages; Otter lists six. A common setup is to keep a Notta seat for bilingual interviews and use another tool for the rest. Test any of them on a real mixed-language answer; our guide to interviewing bilingual candidates covers what to check.

How do I move from Notta without losing interview records?

  1. Decide what you must keep. Notes that support a hiring decision may need to be kept for a set period; check your records policy first.
  2. Export what you keep. Notta lists TXT, DOCX, SRT, XLSX and PDF exports (Notta); move them into your ATS or file store before canceling.
  3. Turn off the Notta bot's auto-join during the trial so candidates do not meet two note takers.
  4. Run both tools on the same five interviews, including one phone screen, and compare accuracy and minutes to a finished record.
  5. Update your consent line to name the new tool. Our consent script has wording; this is not legal advice.

When should you stay with Notta?

Stay if you hire in two languages, if your interviews run past 90 minutes and price matters, or if you want offline transcription through Privacy Mode. Switch when a specific gap above, usually the ATS or phone screens, costs you time every week. For what interview tools cost across the market, see AI interview note-taker pricing.
