The main Bluedot alternatives for recruiting are Metaview, Fireflies, Tactiq, Granola, Krisp, Otter and Interview Signal. As of October 2026, Bluedot records interviews bot-free from a Chrome extension or desktop app and documents one ATS sync, Ashby, on its $32 Business plan; recruiters usually switch when their ATS is something else (Metaview lists the most, Fireflies and Otter list a few), when phone screens are not on Zoom Phone (Fireflies supports several dialers, Interview Signal captures through the computer), when they want a cheaper tool (Tactiq, Krisp and Otter start around $8 a month billed annually), or when they need a scorecard rather than a summary (Interview Signal).

We make Interview Signal, one of the tools below; everything about the other products comes from their own sites, linked and dated. For Bluedot's setup and settings, read Bluedot for recruiting, or the head-to-head Interview Signal vs Bluedot.

Why do recruiters look for a Bluedot alternative?

Bluedot does a lot well, including bot-free capture and charging only for users who record. The usual gaps for recruiting:

  • One documented ATS. Bluedot's help center has an Ashby article; a search of its help center for "ATS" returns only that one, and its integrations page lists HubSpot and Salesforce as CRMs.
  • Basic stops at an hour. The pricing page caps Basic at "Max 1 hour per recording" and makes it audio only.
  • Phone screens through Zoom Phone only. The Zoom Phone integration picks up recordings after the call; other phone systems are not documented.
  • Summaries, not scores. The recruiters page describes summaries with salary expectations and notice period; no scorecard or question guide is described.
  • Windows desktop covers Teams. Bluedot's notification article says the desktop app supports Teams on Windows and Teams, Zoom and Meet on Mac; Windows users on other platforms use the extension.

Which Bluedot alternative fits your situation?

Your ATS is not Ashby

Metaview is the strongest fit: its integrations page lists Ashby, Bullhorn, Crelate, Greenhouse, JobAdder, Lever, Loxo and Workable among many others. The trade-off is a bot in the call by default, though its desktop app records "without a bot joining the call," and Pro costs $60 per user a month. Fireflies lists Loxo, Gem ATS, Workable and Breezy HR, and Otter's Recruiting Agent advertises notes sync with Greenhouse. See Metaview alternatives for the wider recruiting-platform field.

You screen by phone, and not on Zoom Phone

Fireflies' integrations page lists Zoom Phone, RingCentral, Aircall, Dialpad and OpenPhone, each described as capturing and transcribing calls made through that dialer. Metaview's FAQ says phone calls require calling the Metaview switchboard. Interview Signal captures any phone screen that runs through the computer's audio, such as a softphone, live, with the question guide running. Our roundup of AI tools for phone screens covers more setups.

You want something cheaper or lighter

Tactiq's pricing page offers 10 free transcripts a month and Pro at $8 per user a month billed annually. Its help center says it "transcribes from your browser, so nothing joins the meeting," but it works from live captions, which on Zoom the host must have enabled. Otter Pro is $8.33 a month billed annually, with a 90-minute cap per conversation.

Your candidates are hard to hear

Krisp's noise cancellation removes background noise on your side and the other side, and its note taker records bot-free, from $8 per user a month billed annually. It lists no ATS.

You want a bot-free notepad on every device

Granola's home page says it "uses your computer audio, so doesn't invite a bot," on macOS, Windows, iOS and Android, and you shape the notes by typing during the call. Its pricing page lists Business at $14 per user a month with unlimited meeting notes and history, and integrations with Attio, Notion, HubSpot, Affinity and Zapier rather than an ATS.

You need scored interviews, not summaries

Interview Signal builds a question guide from the job description, pins must-ask questions until asked, suggests follow-ups with a reason and fills a scorecard during the call. Afterward each score carries the candidate's quotes, checked against the transcript, and a client submittal is drafted in your template. Transcripts stay on the recruiter's computer.

One-line verdicts

  • Metaview. Best for: ATS write-back beyond Ashby. Weak spot: highest per-seat price here.
  • Fireflies. Best for: phone screens on a supported dialer. Weak spot: a bot by default unless you use its desktop app or extension.
  • Tactiq. Best for: free, light use in the browser. Weak spot: depends on captions and covers no phone screens.
  • Granola. Best for: a bot-free notepad on every platform. Weak spot: no ATS and no scorecard.
  • Krisp. Best for: noisy calls. Weak spot: no hiring workflow or ATS.
  • Otter. Best for: cheap transcripts and Greenhouse teams. Weak spot: 90-minute cap on Pro.
  • Interview Signal. Best for: structured interviews and client submittals. Weak spots: no ATS integration, desktop only with no mobile or web app, no video recording, few public reviews, and phone screens must run through the computer.

What does each cost for a three-person team?

Yearly cost for three users on the plan a recruiting team would most likely pick, from each vendor's pricing page as of October 2026. Totals are our arithmetic.

Tool and planListed priceThree users, one year
Krisp Core$8/user/mo billed annually$288
Otter Pro$8.33/user/mo billed annually$299.88
Fireflies Pro$10/seat/mo billed annually$360
Granola Business$14/user/mo$504
Tactiq Team$16.67/user/mo billed annually$600.12
Bluedot Pro / Business$20 / $32 per user/mo billed yearly$720 / $1,152 (Ashby on Business)
Interview Signal Team$49/seat/mo billed yearly, 3-seat minimum$1,764
Metaview Pro$60/user/mo$2,160

Bluedot's per-recorder pricing can make it cheaper than this table suggests if only some of the team record. Our pricing guide works through other volumes.

Before you leave Bluedot, export your recordings

Bluedot's pricing FAQ says that if you cancel, "you will lose access to your recordings," with one month to restore your subscription before they are permanently deleted. Its security page says data is automatically removed three months after you stop using Bluedot. The two pages give different windows, so export what your records policy requires before you cancel, and delete the rest on purpose, then ask the new vendor where it stores interview data and for how long.

How do you test a Bluedot alternative?

1. Run one interview longer than 60 minutes on your main platform.
2. Run one phone screen on the phone system you actually use.
3. Check what reaches your ATS, or time how long pasting takes.
4. Try a bot-free mode on a call a client or candidate hosts.
5. Read every quote in the output against the transcript.

Whichever tool you pick, tell candidates a note taker is running; our consent script has wording. This is general information, not legal advice. More bot-free tools are compared in AI note takers without a bot.
