For light industrial staffing, the AI note takers to compare as of October 2026 are CoRecruit (captures cell phone, VoIP and in-person conversations with no visible bot, and syncs to Bullhorn and JobDiva), Metaview (the one recruiting note taker here that lists Avionté, plus Bullhorn and JobDiva, with one-click phone calling), Fireflies and Otter for low-cost transcripts with mobile or phone-call capture, Avionté's own AI interview scripts and summaries if you already run AviontéBOLD, and Interview Signal for screens taken through the recruiter's computer. The questions that decide it are where the calls actually happen (mobile phone, softphone or a walk-in at the branch), which ATS the notes must land in, and whether your candidates screen in Spanish.
We make Interview Signal, one of the tools below; everything about the other products comes from their own sites, linked and dated. For the general agency case see our AI note takers for staffing agencies guide; this page covers what is different about warehouse, manufacturing and general labor desks.
What is different about light industrial screening calls?
- Volume and length. A branch recruiter can run dozens of five to fifteen minute screens a day. A tool that adds a minute of setup to every call costs more than it saves.
- Phones and walk-ins, not calendars. Candidates call back from a mobile phone between shifts or walk into the branch. Few screens are scheduled video meetings, so a note taker that only joins calendar invites misses most of the day.
- Facts, not stories. Shift, start date, pay rate, transportation, forklift certification, steel-toe boots, background and drug screen consent. One wrong shift or pay figure means a no-show on day one.
- Two languages. Many desks screen in English and Spanish. Language support decides whether the transcript is usable at all, so test it with a real Spanish screen, not a demo.
- Staffing ATS. Avionté, Bullhorn, JobDiva and TempWorks are common. None of the note takers below listed TempWorks on their integration pages as of October 2026.

Each option, and who it suits
CoRecruit
CoRecruit's pricing page lists capture across "cell phone calls, VoIP, video meetings," WhatsApp, FaceTime and "local in-person meetings," note-taking "with no meeting disruption or visible bots," iOS and Android apps alongside a Mac and Windows desktop app, and a VoIP line with unlimited US and Canada calling included in every plan (CoRecruit pricing). It writes client submittals in your branding and syncs notes to Bullhorn and more than 40 other systems; its integrations page lists Bullhorn and JobDiva but not Avionté or TempWorks. Plans run on a 12-month minimum term, with a 7-day free trial. Best for: Bullhorn or JobDiva branches where recruiters screen from their own mobile phones and see walk-ins. Watch for: the annual commitment, and Avionté shops will be pasting notes.
Metaview
Metaview's integrations page lists Avionté, Bullhorn and JobDiva, as well as Fountain, TalentReef and Paradox. For phone screens you register your outbound number once, then call candidates from Metaview through your browser or have Metaview ring your phone first; the switchboard remains for manual dialing (Metaview phone calls). Its desktop app records microphone and computer audio, including in-person conversations, without a bot, but desktop recording must be enabled for your workspace and needs an Apple Silicon Mac on macOS 14.2 or later or an x64 Windows 10 computer (Metaview desktop app). Metaview says it supports 50 or more languages. Best for: Avionté desks, and Bullhorn desks that want one tool for phone and video. Watch for: $60 per user is a lot per branch recruiter, and Metaview does not process calls shorter than one minute (Notes FAQ), which only matters for the quickest "are you still available?" calls.
Fireflies.ai
The Fireflies desktop app records system audio with no bot and saves no audio or video file in that mode. Its help center says it captures iPhone calls on a Mac through FaceTime's Calls from iPhone setting, and Android or iPhone calls on Windows through the Phone Link app, as well as WhatsApp, Aircall and in-person conversations (Fireflies help). The pricing page lists transcription in more than 100 languages and mobile apps for Android and iOS. Its ATS integrations include Loxo, Breezy HR, Gem and Workable, not the light industrial systems. Best for: the cheapest usable transcripts of English and Spanish phone screens. Watch for: a meeting summary rather than a submittal, and notes copied into your ATS by hand.
Otter.ai
Otter's free plan includes 300 transcription minutes a month with a 30-minute cap per conversation, which covers a lot of short screens; Pro is $16.99 per user per month billed monthly and Business $30 (Otter pricing). Its iOS and Android apps record in person, it lists Spanish among its six transcription languages, and its integrations page lists Zoom Phone and RingCentral call transcription. Best for: a branch recruiter who wants a free phone app for walk-in interviews. Watch for: no staffing ATS integration.
AviontéBOLD's own interview scripts
If your agency is on Avionté, check what you already pay for. Avionté's help article describes AI-generated interview scripts "based on job and talent details," questionnaire-based scripts for consistency across the team, notes added to each question during the interview, and AI summaries stored on the Talent profile; scripts and AI-generated questions are English only (Avionté Interview Scripts). The article describes summaries built from those notes and does not describe capturing call audio. Best for: Avionté branches that want consistent questions before they want transcripts. Watch for: a summary is only as good as what the recruiter typed. Our Avionté note taker page compares the partners that write into BOLD.
Interview Signal
Ours is a desktop app for Windows and Mac that captures audio on the recruiter's computer, so a screen on a softphone or computer dialer works the same way as a Zoom or Teams call, with no bot. It builds the question guide from the job description and keeps must-ask questions pinned until they are asked, which is where shift, pay rate, transportation and forklift certification belong. After the call, each score carries the candidate's own quotes, checked against the transcript, and a client submittal is drafted in your agency's template. Transcripts stay on the recruiter's computer (security). Best for: recruiters who screen on a headset at a desk and send submittals to clients. Watch for: no ATS integration, so Avionté and Bullhorn notes are pasted; no mobile app, so walk-ins and calls on a separate mobile phone are not captured; and it is a newer product with few public reviews.
Is an AI screening agent a better fit than a note taker?
Sometimes. A note taker makes the recruiter's call faster to document; an AI screening agent takes the first call off the recruiter's plate. The two are worth separating before you buy either.
- Carv sells AI agents for volume hiring, including a screening agent that gathers "availability, eligibility, location, shift preferences, and dealbreakers" and says whether a candidate should move forward (Carv staffing). Its integrations page lists Avionté and Bullhorn. Pricing is not published; it sells by demo.
- Metaview Screening runs a short two-way voice interview that candidates take in a browser, drafts the questions and a rubric from your job description, rates each completed interview, and never auto-rejects on a rating. Creating and previewing screens is free; each evaluated interview uses credits (Screening overview, credits).
An agent suits the knockout layer: shift, location, start date, certifications. Keep a recruiter on the phone for the part where you sell the assignment and judge whether someone will turn up on Monday. If an AI tool rates candidates, check the AI hiring rules in each state and city where you place people before you switch it on. This is not legal advice.
What should the notes capture on a light industrial screen?
Whatever tool you choose, check these fields against the transcript before a candidate is placed:
- Shifts and days the candidate can work, including weekends and overtime.
- Earliest start date and any days already booked off.
- Pay rate expectation, and the rate you quoted.
- Transportation: how they will get to the site, and how far is too far.
- Certifications with type and date, such as a forklift card, and who trained and evaluated them.
- Equipment and systems used before: RF scanners, pick-to-light, machine types.
- The job's physical requirements, described and confirmed as job functions; see pre-employment medical exams and the ADA for what not to ask.
- Agreement to your background check and drug screen steps, as your process requires.
- Preferred language, and a reference from the last assignment.
The question list behind each field is in our warehouse associate screening questions, with what a strong answer sounds like for each.
How do you test a note taker on a real branch day?
- Pick ten real screens: five phone calls, three walk-ins and two in Spanish.
- Read every pay rate, shift time and start date in the transcript against what was said. Numbers are where transcripts fail quietly.
- Check the note lands on the right candidate record, or time how long the copy and paste takes.
- Time each screen from hanging up to "notes done." Anything over two minutes per call will not survive a busy Monday.
- Say the consent line on every call and note how candidates react; the consent script has wording that works on the phone and at the front desk.
How do you choose?
- On Avionté: start with Avionté's own scripts, then trial Metaview against them on a real day.
- On Bullhorn or JobDiva, screening from mobile phones: CoRecruit.
- Lowest cost, English and Spanish: Fireflies' desktop app with a paired phone, or Otter's free plan.
- The first call is mostly knockout questions: look at an AI screening agent before a note taker.
- Headset screens from a computer, submittals to clients: Interview Signal, pasting into your ATS.

Questions people ask
Which AI note taker works with Avionté for light industrial staffing?
As of October 2026, Metaview lists Avionté on its integrations page, and Carv, an AI screening platform rather than a note taker, lists Avionté and Bullhorn. CoRecruit, Fireflies and Otter do not list Avionté. Avionté itself offers AI-generated interview scripts and AI summaries built from the notes recruiters add during an interview, in English only.
Can an AI note taker record a walk-in interview at a staffing branch?
Yes, if it has a mobile app or an in-person mode. As of October 2026, CoRecruit and Otter offer iOS and Android apps, Fireflies' desktop app captures in-person conversations, and Metaview's desktop app records in-person conversations once a workspace admin enables desktop recording. Tell the candidate before you start, as you would on a call.
Which AI note takers handle Spanish-language screens?
Most of the tools here transcribe Spanish. As of October 2026, Metaview says it supports 50 or more languages, Fireflies lists transcription in more than 100 languages, Otter lists Spanish among six transcription languages, and CoRecruit advertises multi-language support. Avionté's AI interview scripts and summaries are English only, according to its help article.
Is an AI note taker or an AI screening agent better for high-volume light industrial hiring?
A note taker helps a recruiter who is still making the calls; an AI screening agent replaces the first call by asking candidates the knockout questions itself. If recruiters spend most of the day confirming shifts, pay and transportation, an agent such as Carv's screening agent or Metaview Screening may save more time. If the calls are where you sell the job and judge reliability, keep the recruiter on the phone and add a note taker.
