Firefish has no built-in AI notetaker as of October 2026. Its AI agents find skills, match candidates, draft emails and adverts, and enrich records, and its Conversations module logs calls placed through its VOIP partners with call notes saved in the activity feed. Recording and AI call summaries come from partners in the Firefish marketplace: CoRecruit writes structured notes into a record's Activities, while the calling platforms Ringover and TalentLynk sync AI call notes into Firefish.

This page covers only what works with Firefish: what Firefish builds in, which partners write into it, what they cost, and what a UK agency should test. We make Interview Signal, one of the tools below; everything about the other products comes from their own sites, linked and dated. For the wider market, see our guide to AI notetakers for staffing agencies.

What is Firefish, and who uses it?

Firefish is a recruitment CRM that its homepage says is "built for UK recruitment agencies", covering permanent, contract and temporary desks. Its summary page for AI systems describes independent and mid-market agencies of roughly 1 to 200 users, founded in 2011 and based in the UK, and says it is not designed for in-house HR teams or agencies operating mainly outside the UK. The pricing page lists Core, Scale and Enterprise plans without prices, plus add-on modules "from £150 per module".

Does Firefish have its own AI notetaker?

No. Firefish's AI agents page lists a Skills Agent, Insight Agent, Matching Agent, Email Agent, Content Agent and Enrichment Agent. None of them records or transcribes calls.

Calls are handled by the Conversations module: click-to-dial from records through "Firefish VOIP partners", every call logged automatically, and "Call notes saved instantly in the activity feed". The page also mentions AI transcription integrations without naming them. So Firefish knows a call happened and who made it; what was said depends on the recruiter's typing or on a partner.

Which AI notetakers list a Firefish integration?

Firefish's marketplace lists, among about 90 partners, CoRecruit, TalentLynk, Ringover, 8x8, Devyce, WhatsApp for Business and Twilio, as of October 2026. Metaview's integrations directory did not list Firefish when we checked.

CoRecruit

CoRecruit's Firefish page says it turns candidate screens, client intakes, reference calls and business development conversations into structured notes in the "Activities section of your Candidate or Contact records", mapped to your Communication Types in real time, and updates key fields such as Job Title. It names Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex, RingCentral and other VoIP tools as sources and can also draft candidate submittals and scorecards. Its pricing page describes botless capture, including cell phone and WhatsApp calls, with Starter at $85 per user per month on a 12-month term, or $64 paid annually upfront. Our CoRecruit alternatives page compares it with other agency notetakers.

Ringover

Ringover is a cloud phone system. Its Firefish page describes click-to-call from Firefish, automatic logging of call and SMS activity, creating candidate or contact records from the dialer, and says: "With Empower, Ringover's AI transcribes your calls and creates clear, accurate summaries", with notes and insights synced into Firefish. AI summaries depend on Empower, so confirm it is in your quote.

TalentLynk

TalentLynk describes itself as cloud calling, a connected inbox and AI that turns recruitment conversations into structured notes, tasks and next steps, with suggested CRM updates that recruiters review before applying. Its homepage lists Firefish among its CRM integrations. TalentLynk is also Mercury's telephony partner; see AI notetaker for Mercury xRM. Its pricing page shows a UK Licence at £35 per user per month, or £31.50 billed annually, with unlimited call recording included and AI transcription charged at £1 an hour.

How do the Firefish options compare?

What does it cost for a desk, as an example?

An illustrative example built from published prices as of October 2026, not a quote. A ten-consultant UK desk adding call capture to Firefish:

TalentLynk UK Licence, billed annually:
  £31.50 x 10 = £315/month, plus AI transcription at £1/hour

CoRecruit Starter, monthly on a 12-month term:
  $85 x 10 = $850/month ($64 x 10 = $640/month paid upfront)

TalentLynk and Ringover are calling platforms, so part of their price may replace a phone system you already pay for. Compare against your current telephony bill, not against zero.

How do you get AI notes into Firefish without an integration?

Firefish's help content is not public, so we cannot link step-by-step instructions. What its own pages and CoRecruit's page show is that call notes live in the activity feed, organized by Communication Types. A manual routine that works with any standalone tool:

  1. Agree one Communication Type for AI-drafted screen notes with your Firefish admin, so activity reports count them like typed notes.
  2. Paste a short summary on the candidate, not the contact, and check line breaks survive.
  3. Type key fields yourself: salary, notice period and availability belong in fields, not only in the note.
  4. Keep the full transcript out of the CRM unless your retention rules cover it.

Our guide to getting AI notes into an ATS without an integration compares pasting with email and API routes.

  • Lawful basis and notice. UK GDPR needs a lawful basis for recording and transcribing, and the ICO's guidance on the right to be informed covers what candidates must be told (checked October 2026). Say it at the start of every call with one consent line; our guide to recording interviews under UK GDPR goes further. This is not legal advice.
  • Retention. Firefish's summary page says agencies can set data retention periods and manage opt-in and opt-out consent. Recordings and transcripts in a partner's cloud are a second copy that needs its own retention rule.
  • Field updates. Decide which fields a partner may change automatically, and review compensation before it overwrites anything.
  • Calls outside the system. Calling platforms only capture calls made through them; mobile calls need CoRecruit's mobile capture or a documented gap.

What should you test before rollout?

CheckPass looks likeResult
Record matchingNotes land on the existing candidate, not a duplicate or the client contact
Communication TypeSynced notes use the type your reports count
Field updatesJob title and salary update only as approved, never with a guess
AuthorActivities show the consultant, not an API user
NoticeEvery recorded call starts with a notice
DeletionOne candidate's recordings and transcripts can be erased in the partner and in Firefish

Which option fits which Firefish desk?

  • CoRecruit: best for perm and contract desks that screen on mobiles and video and want activities, fields and submittals written, accepting a 12-month term.
  • TalentLynk: best for UK desks replacing their phone system that want calls, recording and AI notes under one per-user licence.
  • Ringover: best for desks already on Ringover, or choosing it, that will add Empower for summaries.
  • A standalone tool and paste: best for small agencies and consultants whose firm will not add another integration.

Interview Signal sits in the last group: it has no Firefish integration. It is a desktop app for Windows and macOS with no bot, so phone screens taken through the computer and video calls are captured the same way, and it produces a scorecard with the candidate's own quotes and a submittal in your agency's template, with transcripts kept on the consultant's computer. Its ready-made ATS note formats are for Bullhorn, Greenhouse, Lever and JobAdder only, so in Firefish you paste the plain or Markdown version. It is desktop only, newer with few public reviews, and does not record video.

Questions people ask

Does Firefish have a built-in AI notetaker?

No, as of October 2026. Firefish's AI agents find skills, match candidates, draft emails and adverts, and enrich records, and its Conversations module logs calls placed through Firefish VOIP partners with call notes saved in the activity feed. Recording and AI call summaries come from marketplace partners such as CoRecruit, Ringover and TalentLynk.

Which AI notetakers integrate with Firefish?

CoRecruit is in Firefish's marketplace, and its own Firefish page says it pushes structured call notes into the Activities section of candidate and contact records, mapped to your Communication Types, and updates key fields. Ringover and TalentLynk, also in the marketplace, are calling platforms that sync AI call notes into Firefish.

How much does an AI notetaker for Firefish cost?

As published in October 2026, CoRecruit Starter is $85 per user per month on a 12-month term or $64 paid upfront, and TalentLynk's UK Licence is £35 per user per month, or £31.50 billed annually, with AI transcription charged at £1 an hour. Ringover did not show plan prices on the pages we checked.

Can a UK agency record Firefish screening calls under UK GDPR?

It can, provided it has a lawful basis for recording and transcribing, tells candidates before the call as the ICO's right-to-be-informed guidance requires, and sets a retention period for recordings and transcripts. Firefish lets agencies set retention periods, and partners hold a second copy that needs its own rule. This is not legal advice.
