Mercury, the recruitment CRM sold by Mercury xRM Ltd and built on Microsoft Dynamics 365, says its AI "listens to every conversation" and turns calls into structured data and next steps, but as of October 2026 its product page does not say how calls are captured. For recorded, transcribed call notes, Mercury's integrations table lists TalentLynk, which Mercury calls its telephony partner, alongside Ringover, CloudCall and 8x8 through Synergy Group. Metaview also lists Mercury and says it pushes AI interview notes into it.
This page covers only what works with Mercury: what Mercury describes natively, which partners capture calls, who supports each connection, and what to test. We make Interview Signal, one of the tools below; everything about the other products comes from their own sites, linked and dated. For the wider market, see our guide to AI notetakers for staffing agencies.
What is Mercury xRM, and who uses it?
Mercury xRM Ltd, registered in England, now markets its platform simply as Mercury, a "Microsoft-Powered Recruitment CRM, ATS & Back Office Platform" for staffing and recruitment firms. It has three products: Sales & Recruiting (a combined CRM and ATS), Middle & Back Office (placements to timesheets, billing and compliance) and Analytics built on Power BI. Because it runs on Dynamics 365, it sits inside Microsoft 365 and Teams, and Mercury's homepage also describes using Microsoft's AI assistant through Dynamics 365 and Power Platform. Mercury does not publish prices; its site offers demos.
Does Mercury have its own AI notetaker?
It describes one, without saying how it captures audio. The Sales & Recruiting page says: "Mercury listens to every conversation and instantly transforms it into action. As you speak, Mercury AI pinpoints key details and automatically converts them into next steps." It lists what a call can produce:
- Vacancy records created from client briefings, plus job descriptions and adverts.
- Candidate summaries, and interviews and meetings booked.
- Salary expectations and requirements captured.
- Candidate searches started from the brief, and follow-ups triggered.
The same page describes AI-written, vacancy-specific suitability summaries for hiring managers, so "consultants spend less time writing submission notes". What it does not say is whether "listens" means Teams calls, phone calls, both, or a partner such as TalentLynk, which Microsoft licences are needed, or where transcripts are stored. Ask Mercury to show it on a real phone screen and a Teams interview before you count on it.
Which call capture and notetaker tools list Mercury?
Mercury's integrations support table lists 36 integrations with who built each one, who gives first-line support and where the licence is bought. For calls, it lists Microsoft Teams Click-to-Dial and Teams Chat, CloudCall, Ringover, TalentLynk and Synergy Group (8x8). For those four phone partners, the table says the partner built the integration, gives first-line support and sells the licence; for the Teams items, Mercury supports the integration. No AI meeting notetaker appears in the table.
TalentLynk
Mercury's own article on TalentLynk calls it Mercury's telephony partner and says it automates note-taking and call transcription, with AI summaries and templates for post-call work such as interview debriefs, and that notes, calls, WhatsApp messages, Teams chats and emails are captured in Mercury. TalentLynk's homepage lists Mercury among its CRM integrations and says AI suggests CRM updates that recruiters review before applying. Its pricing page shows a UK Licence at £35 per user per month, or £31.50 billed annually, and a Global Licence at £45 or £40.50, with unlimited recording included and AI transcription at £1 an hour.
Ringover
Ringover's Mercury page describes one-click calling from Mercury, candidate details shown in the dialer, and syncing "call logs, SMS logs, tags, and notes between Ringover and Mercury". Unlike its Firefish page (see our AI notetaker for Firefish guide), it does not mention AI transcripts or summaries for Mercury, so ask whether Ringover's AI output reaches Mercury records.
Metaview
Metaview's Mercury integration page says it "automatically records, transcribes, and summarizes calls scheduled through Mercury", pushes its AI notes to Mercury, and lets teams review applications and advance or reject candidates from Metaview. Mercury's support table does not list Metaview, and we found no Mercury setup guide in Metaview's help center, so confirm the connection with both companies. Metaview's published pricing is a free tier of 25 calls a month and Pro at $60 per user per month (pricing). Our Metaview alternatives page compares it with other interview notetakers.
How do the Mercury options compare?
As published on each vendor's own pages, as of October 2026. "Not stated" means the linked pages do not say.

How do you get AI notes into Mercury without an integration?
We could not find a public Mercury article on logging notes, so agree the details with your Mercury administrator. A routine that works with any standalone tool:
- Pick one activity or note type for AI-drafted screen notes so dashboards count them like typed notes.
- Paste a short summary against the candidate and link the vacancy it relates to.
- Type the structured fields yourself: salary, notice period and availability belong in fields that reporting and search use.
- Attach the full scorecard as a document if your retention rules allow it, rather than pasting a transcript.
Our guide to getting AI notes into an ATS without an integration compares pasting with email and API routes.
What should you check for privacy and consent?
- Lawful basis and notice. UK GDPR needs a lawful basis for recording and transcribing calls, and candidates must be told, per the ICO's guidance on the right to be informed (checked October 2026). Use one consent line on every call; our guide to recording interviews under UK GDPR goes further. This is not legal advice.
- Separate contracts. Affiliate partners sell and support their own product, so each one needs its own data processing terms and retention settings.
- Native AI data flow. Ask Mercury where conversation audio and transcripts are processed and stored, and how long they are kept.
- Suggested updates. Prefer tools that let consultants review field changes, as TalentLynk describes, over silent overwrites of salary or notice period.
What should you test before rollout?
| Check | Pass looks like | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Capture scope | You know which calls are captured: Teams, desk phone, mobile, or only scheduled interviews | |
| Record matching | Notes land on the right candidate and vacancy, not the client contact | |
| Support path | You know whether Mercury or the partner fixes a broken sync | |
| Field updates | Salary and availability change only after review | |
| Licences | The Microsoft and partner licences each feature needs are in your quote | |
| Deletion | One candidate's recordings and transcripts can be erased in the partner and in Mercury |
Which option fits which Mercury firm?
- Mercury's own AI: best for firms already on Mercury that confirm in a demo which calls it captures.
- TalentLynk: best for UK desks that want Mercury's named telephony partner for calls, recording and AI notes.
- Ringover or CloudCall: best for firms that mainly need click-to-dial and call logs in Mercury.
- Metaview: best for teams with many scheduled interviews that want a free tier, after confirming the connection.
Interview Signal is a standalone option: it has no Mercury integration. It is a desktop app for Windows and macOS with no bot, so phone screens taken through the computer and video calls are captured the same way, and it produces a scorecard with the candidate's own quotes and a submittal in your agency's template, with transcripts kept on the consultant's computer. Its ready-made ATS note formats are for Bullhorn, Greenhouse, Lever and JobAdder only, so in Mercury you paste the plain or Markdown version. It is desktop only, newer with few public reviews, and does not record video.
Questions people ask
Does Mercury xRM have a built-in AI notetaker?
Mercury's Sales and Recruiting page says Mercury listens to every conversation and turns it into structured data and next steps, such as vacancy records, candidate summaries and follow-ups, as of October 2026. The page does not say how calls are captured or which Microsoft licences are needed, so ask Mercury to demonstrate it on your own phone and Teams setup.
Which call recording and AI notes tools integrate with Mercury?
Mercury's integrations support table lists TalentLynk, which Mercury calls its telephony partner and which automates note-taking and call transcription, plus Ringover, CloudCall and Synergy Group (8x8) for calling and Microsoft Teams click-to-dial. Metaview lists Mercury on its own integrations page and says it pushes AI notes to Mercury.
How much does TalentLynk cost for Mercury users?
TalentLynk's pricing page, as of October 2026, lists a UK Licence at £35 per user per month, or £31.50 billed annually, and a Global Licence at £45 or £40.50, with unlimited call recording included and AI transcription charged at £1 an hour. Licences are bought from TalentLynk, not Mercury.
Who supports a Mercury integration when call notes stop syncing?
Mercury's integrations support table says it depends on who built the integration. For affiliate software such as TalentLynk, Ringover and CloudCall, the partner provides first-line support for both the integration and its product, and the licence is bought from the partner.
