Oracle Recruiting Cloud now has a native way to turn an interview into draft feedback. In release 26C, Oracle added an AI agent called the Interview Insights Generator that reads the transcript of a Zoom or Teams interview, writes an interview summary, and pre-populates the interviewer's feedback questionnaire, ratings included. It comes with a list of prerequisites, and it goes further than most third-party notetakers, which deliberately leave ratings blank.

This page covers the native route and its prerequisites, what Metaview and other vendors can write into Oracle Recruiting Cloud, the phone-screen gap, and how to govern AI-drafted ratings. Product facts are dated October 2026 and link to the page we checked. If you are weighing Oracle against another enterprise suite, our guides for Workday and SAP SuccessFactors cover the same questions.

Oracle's native route: Interview Insights Generator

Oracle's 26C readiness note, Create Interview Summary and Populate Questionnaires Using AI Agent, describes the agent:

  • Output: an interview summary on the Interview Details page, pre-populated responses to the feedback questionnaire, and candidate ratings where the feedback request asks for one.
  • Review step: the interviewer gets a notification linking to the Provide Feedback page, with a message to review the questionnaire responses, and can change them before submitting.
  • Schedule: the agent runs on a schedule, every 15 minutes between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. by default, which you can change.
  • Exception: for rating-only feedback with no questionnaire, it populates nothing.

Prerequisites

  1. Recruiting Booster opted in.
  2. Interview Companion enabled, with the "Retrieve Interview Transcripts" scheduled process running.
  3. A recorded web conference through the Zoom or Microsoft Teams integration.
  4. A feedback request using a questionnaire on the interview.
  5. The interview completed using Interview Companion.
  6. Settings switched on under Interview Intelligence: "Enable interview insights using interview transcript" and "Enable draft feedback using interview transcript", plus the agent template in AI Agent Studio and the Redwood recruiting pages.

Recruiting Booster is described by Oracle as increasing the power of Oracle Recruiting for candidate engagement and interview scheduling. Ask your Oracle account team whether it is in your subscription; we could not confirm licensing from Oracle's public pages.

Other interview AI in Oracle's roadmap

  • Interview guidelines: the 26C Recruiting Interview Resources Agent fills empty interview guidelines fields when you create or edit an interview or schedule. It does not record anything.
  • Later releases: Oracle's AI feature matrix lists "Track Topics and Questions During Zoom Interviews" and "Create Interview Loops" for 26D. We could not find detailed documentation for these, so treat them as unconfirmed until you see them in your pod.

A name to watch: two "Interview Companions"

Oracle's Interview Companion is an Oracle Recruiting feature the agent depends on. Employ's AI Interview Companion, formerly Pillar, is a separate interview intelligence product; its integrations page shows an Oracle logo among the ATSs, without saying which Oracle product. When someone proposes "Interview Companion", ask which vendor's.

What third-party tools can write into Oracle Recruiting Cloud

ToolWhat we found, as of October 2026What reaches Oracle
MetaviewHelp center setup guide; connects through KomboNotes as a PDF attachment on the application; no scorecards, no links, no automatic scheduling
AI Interview Companion (Employ)Oracle logo on its integrations page"Interview insights"; Oracle product and format not stated
BrightHireIts integrations page lists Oracle Taleo, not Oracle Recruiting CloudConfirm with BrightHire

Metaview

Metaview's Oracle Recruiting Cloud guide says you connect from Settings, Integrations, and that the connection is authorized through Kombo as a whole, with no individual permissions to select. The permissions include reading jobs, candidates and applications, adding a PDF attachment to an application, creating candidates, and moving or rejecting applications. Metaview lists what is not supported:

  • Automatic scheduling: Oracle Recruiting Cloud does not expose an interviews model to it, so calls are booked through your calendar and matched afterwards.
  • Links to notes: not supported.
  • Scorecards: not available through the integration.
  • Direct note posting: notes go in as PDF attachments rather than on the candidate's timeline.

So with Metaview, the interviewer's questionnaire in Oracle stays manual, and the evidence sits in an attachment. Tell hiring managers where to find it, because a PDF among resumes and offer documents is easy to miss at the debrief. Because the permission set includes moving and rejecting applications, decide who in Metaview may use those actions. Metaview publishes a free tier and Pro at $60 a user a month (pricing).

Governing AI-drafted ratings

Oracle's agent is unusual in pre-populating ratings. That saves time, and it also changes the interviewer's job from judging to approving. Set rules before switching it on:

  • Ratings stay the interviewer's. Require interviewers to confirm or change every pre-populated rating, and say so in interviewer training.
  • Spot-check. Each month, compare a sample of submitted ratings with the drafts. If almost none were changed, interviewers may be accepting drafts unread.
  • Check the rules that apply. AI that scores candidates can bring automated decision rules into play, such as New York City's Local Law 144, which the city's Department of Consumer and Worker Protection enforces for automated employment decision tools; our guide to Local Law 144 and AI notetakers explains where the line is. This is not legal advice.

You can also leave ratings out of the agent's scope: Oracle's documentation says it populates ratings only when the feedback request asks for one, so a questionnaire with evidence questions and a separate human rating step keeps the draft to evidence.

A rollout plan for the native agent

Because the agent depends on several settings and a licensed add-on, a staged rollout catches problems before hiring managers see them:

  1. Confirm the prerequisites in a test environment: Booster, Interview Companion, the transcript process, and Zoom or Teams integration with recording.
  2. Rewrite one questionnaire so its questions ask for evidence ("What example did the candidate give of...") rather than impressions. The agent can only draft from what the questions ask.
  3. Pilot with five interviewers for two weeks. After each interview, ask them how many draft answers they changed and why.
  4. Read twenty submitted questionnaires against their transcripts. Check one number, one name and one reason per interview.
  5. Adjust the notification in Alerts Composer so the review message tells interviewers plainly that the ratings are drafts.
  6. Extend by team, not all at once, and keep the monthly spot-check running.

If the pilot shows interviewers accepting drafts unchanged, remove ratings from the questionnaire and keep the agent drafting evidence only.

Phone screens

The native agent needs a recorded Zoom or Teams interview through Oracle's integrations, so phone screens are outside it. Metaview's phone calls guide describes calling through its own number. Otherwise, move screens to video or use a phone-capable tool. Our guide to recording a phone screen compares the options.

How to choose

  • You already have Recruiting Booster and use Oracle's Zoom or Teams integration: pilot the Interview Insights Generator first.
  • You need phone screens or interviews outside Oracle's integrations: Metaview, accepting PDF attachments rather than questionnaire fill.
  • You are on Taleo, not Oracle Recruiting Cloud: ask BrightHire, which lists Taleo.

What to test before rollout

CheckPass looks likeResult
PrerequisitesBooster, Interview Companion, transcript process and questionnaires are all in place
Draft reviewInterviewers change drafts where they disagree; submissions are not identical to drafts
ConsentCandidates are told the Zoom or Teams interview is recorded
Attachment findabilityHiring managers can find third-party PDF notes on the application
DeletionRecordings and transcripts are removed under your candidate retention rules

Our guide to evidence-based feedback shows what a reviewed draft should look like, and our consent script covers the opening line.

Standalone tools, and who each option suits

Interview Signal has no Oracle integration. It is a desktop app with no bot that captures audio on the interviewer's computer, including phone screens, and exports a scorecard quoting the candidate that you paste into the Oracle feedback questionnaire.

  • Interview Insights Generator: Oracle Recruiting Cloud customers with Recruiting Booster and recorded Zoom or Teams interviews.
  • Metaview: teams needing phone capture or interviews outside Oracle's integrations.
  • A standalone tool: interviewers who prefer no bot, or teams without Booster.

Questions people ask

Does Oracle Recruiting have a native AI notetaker?

It has a native route as of release 26C. Oracle's Interview Insights Generator agent analyzes the transcript of an interview recorded through the Zoom or Microsoft Teams integration, creates an interview summary, pre-populates feedback questionnaire responses and ratings, and asks the interviewer to review them. It requires Recruiting Booster and Interview Companion, per Oracle's 26C documentation.

Does the Oracle agent fill in candidate ratings?

Yes, when the feedback request includes a questionnaire and asks for a rating. Oracle's documentation says the agent populates responses and ratings from the transcript, and the interviewer is notified to review and can change them before submitting. For rating-only feedback with no questionnaire, it populates nothing.

How does Metaview write to Oracle Recruiting Cloud?

As a PDF attachment on the candidate's application, according to Metaview's help center as of October 2026. The connection runs through Kombo, a Metaview subprocessor. Metaview says it cannot schedule calls automatically from Oracle Recruiting Cloud, cannot add links to notes, and has no scorecard access through this integration.

Is Oracle's Interview Companion the same as Employ's AI Interview Companion?

No. Interview Companion is an Oracle Recruiting feature that the Interview Insights Generator depends on. AI Interview Companion is Employ's interview intelligence product, formerly Pillar, which shows an Oracle logo on its integrations page. Check which one a vendor or colleague means.
