PCRecruiter has no built-in AI notetaker as of October 2026, but its own partner page names the options. CoRecruit (formerly Quil) takes notes on phone calls, video meetings and in-person interviews and pushes them into PCRecruiter; SourceWhale's notetaker joins Teams, Meet and Zoom calls and logs summaries to PCRecruiter; and CallMantra, a phone system, records and transcribes calls and logs them to the record. For a PCRecruiter desk, the choice comes down to whether your screens happen on the phone or on video, and whether you will change phone systems.
This page covers what PCRecruiter builds in, the partners it lists, where their notes land, how to log notes by hand, and what to test. We make Interview Signal, one of the tools below; everything about the other products comes from their own sites, linked and dated. For the wider agency market, see our guide to AI notetakers for staffing agencies.
What does PCRecruiter build in?
PCRecruiter is made by Main Sequence Technology. Its FAQ says about 3,000 organizations have used it and that its PCRM product is best suited to solo and growing permanent placement agencies. Accounts start at around $115 per user, including hosting, backups, API access, integrations and standard support, with a one-time setup and training fee, as of October 2026.
- AI Suite: the Discover Our Tech page says it helps compose emails, candidate summaries and job descriptions and improves search of your private database. It does not describe call recording or transcription.
- Email: IMAP sync for automatic email logging, a native email client, and integrations with Office 365, Outlook and Gmail.
- Calling: partnerships with VoIP providers such as RingCentral, and browser plugins such as Google Voice.
- Hosting: most customers are SaaS-hosted. The FAQ warns that some features need APIs, back-end services and integrations that are not feasible for self-hosted installs, so a self-hosted firm should confirm a notetaker integration works before buying.
Which AI notetakers does PCRecruiter list?
PCRecruiter's partners and affiliations page lists these call and notes partners, as of October 2026:
- CoRecruit: PCRecruiter's CoRecruit page says it automates note-taking during phone calls, video meetings and in-person interviews, generates candidate submittals and follow-up materials, and pushes all notes into PCRecruiter automatically.
- SourceWhale: PCRecruiter's SourceWhale page says its notetaker joins Teams, Meet and Zoom calls, transcribes them and logs structured AI summaries to PCRecruiter, and that calling, SMS and WhatsApp are logged against the record too.
- CallMantra: a cloud phone system that, per PCRecruiter's CallMantra page, logs calls, texts, recordings and notes and can record and transcribe important calls.
- KrispCall and Zoom Phone: KrispCall logs calls and SMS and captures notes in PCRecruiter; the Zoom Phone integration launches calls from records and logs inbound and outbound dials. These are call logs, not AI summaries; our Zoom Phone for recruiting review covers what Zoom Phone itself records.
- Video interviews: Jobma and Spark Hire for one-way and recorded video interviews.
We did not find PCRecruiter in Metaview's integration list or help center as of October 2026.

CoRecruit on PCRecruiter in detail
CoRecruit's own PCRecruiter page says it converts each intake, interview or client call into structured notes and, depending on your settings, pushes them to the Activities or Notes section of the linked candidate record. It can fill standard and custom candidate fields such as current and desired salary, current job title and relocation preferences, and you can map PCRecruiter activity types to meeting types so calls stay searchable and reportable. Follow-up summaries and documents can upload as attachments, and a Chrome extension keeps meetings linked. Our CoRecruit alternatives page covers its wider pros and cons.
Activities or notes: pick one on purpose
PCRecruiter treats activities as the reportable record of calls, emails and interviews. If AI notes land in the Notes section instead, your call counts and follow-up calendar may not reflect them. Decide with your admin whether notetaker output goes to Activities with a named activity type, and set every recruiter's integration the same way.
How do you log AI notes in PCRecruiter without an integration?
PCRecruiter's Learning Center article on tracking activities and follow-ups describes the manual route:
- Open the candidate record and click the Add Activity action icon.
- Set the date and time, and tick Schedule if you also want a follow-up on your PCR calendar.
- Choose the Activity Type (your admin can create custom types) and, where offered, a Result.
- Paste the AI summary into the Activity Text box and save.
Emails sent through PCRecruiter's email client or synced by IMAP are logged automatically, so a submittal you email to a client from PCR is already on record. Our guide to getting AI notes into an ATS without an integration covers Zapier and API routes too; PCRecruiter's FAQ says API access is included.
What should you check for privacy and consent?
- Phone calls are the gap. A tool that joins video calls captures nothing on a recruiter's mobile. If you switch to a phone system to fill the gap, its recording settings decide what candidates hear.
- Say the notice. Botless capture shows candidates nothing; use one consent line at the start of every call. Our phone screen recording guide covers the mechanics.
- Data ownership. PCRecruiter's FAQ says your data belongs solely to you and is never shared without permission. A partner notetaker keeps its own copy; get its retention and deletion terms in writing.
- Field writes. Let a notetaker fill salary only after a recruiter review; "around 90, flexible" is not one number.
What should you test before rollout?
| Check | Pass looks like | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Record linking | The note lands on the existing name record, not a new duplicate | |
| Activities vs notes | Output goes where your reports count it, with the right activity type | |
| Custom fields | Only the fields you approved change | |
| Attachments | The submittal attaches to the right candidate | |
| Hosting | The integration works on your hosting type (SaaS or self-hosted) | |
| Deletion | A candidate's recording and transcript can be removed in both systems |
Which option fits which PCRecruiter desk?
- CoRecruit: best for permanent placement recruiters who screen on their mobiles and want notes, fields and submittals with no visible bot, and who accept a 12-month term.
- SourceWhale: best for firms that want outreach, data and video meeting notes in one platform logged to PCRecruiter.
- CallMantra: best for high-volume desks ready to move calls onto a power dialer that records and transcribes.
- A standalone tool and Add Activity: best for solo recruiters, PCRecruiter's core market, who want low cost and full control of what goes on the record.
Interview Signal is in the last group and has no PCRecruiter integration. It is a desktop app for Windows and macOS with no bot that captures the recruiter's own computer audio, so phone screens through the computer and video calls work the same way. It produces a scorecard with the candidate's quotes and a submittal in your template that you paste into an activity; its ready-made ATS note formats are for Bullhorn, Greenhouse, Lever and JobAdder only. Pay-as-you-go hours never expire, which suits a solo desk. It is desktop only, newer with few public reviews, and does not record video. Our guide for solo recruiters compares it with other low-cost options.
