Recruit CRM has no AI notetaker of its own. As of September 2026, its Pro plan includes phone calling and call recording, and its AI features cover resume parsing, candidate matching and outreach content, but nothing on its own pages describes transcribing and summarizing an interview automatically. The two routes that exist are CoRecruit's documented direct integration, which needs a Business plan or higher for API access, and a Zapier automation for tools such as Metaview that do not connect natively.
This page covers only what works with Recruit CRM: what the platform does and does not ship, the CoRecruit integration in detail, the Zapier route, and what to check before a recruiter relies on either for a live candidate. Every vendor fact links to the page we checked.
What Recruit CRM ships natively
- Call recording, not note summaries. Recruit CRM's pricing page lists phone calling and recording as a Pro-plan feature. Recording a call is not the same as transcribing and summarizing it, and we found no page describing that step as automatic.
- AI features are elsewhere in the product. Recruit CRM's own posts on its AI features and candidate matching and resume parsing describe resume parsing, bimetric candidate matching, AI sourcing and GPT-powered content generation, none of which touch a live call.
- An MCP server for AI assistants. Recruit CRM's integrations page describes an MCP connection for use with Claude, ChatGPT and similar tools, which is a way to query your Recruit CRM data from an AI assistant, not a call notetaker.
If you want a note written automatically after a candidate call, Recruit CRM's own product is not that tool. You need a partner integration, an automation platform, or a standalone notetaker whose output you paste in.
CoRecruit: the one documented direct integration
CoRecruit's help center describes a Recruit CRM integration set up with an API key generated from Recruit CRM's Admin Settings, and states that a Business or Enterprise subscription is required for API key access. This matches Recruit CRM's own pricing page, which lists API access as unavailable on Pro and included from Business upward.
- Capture: botless, as described consistently across CoRecruit's other ATS integrations and its own notetaking pages.
- What reaches Recruit CRM: meeting notes, automatically linked to the candidate or contact record, appearing in the Notes and Calls section.
- Field updates are limited here. CoRecruit's help article names only two supported fields for this integration specifically: current salary and salary expectation, which is narrower than what CoRecruit documents for Bullhorn or Crelate.
- Pricing: Starter $85/user/mo on a 12-month term, or $64 paid upfront, per CoRecruit's pricing page, on top of whatever Recruit CRM plan you already pay for.
The Zapier route for other tools
Metaview's own support documentation, in its Recruit CRM article, describes a Zapier automation using "New Conversation" as the trigger, which adds a Metaview conversation summary as a note in Recruit CRM. This is not a native integration the way Metaview's Bullhorn or Lever connections are; it depends on a Zapier account and a working automation someone has to build and maintain.
The same pattern applies to most general-purpose notetakers. Recruit CRM's own integrations page names Zapier (5,000+ apps), Integrately (950+ apps) and Pabbly (2,000+ apps) as its automation options, so almost any notetaker that exposes its output through one of those platforms can, in principle, be wired into a Recruit CRM note. Whether it is worth the setup time depends on your comfort building and maintaining a Zap, and on whether the notetaker's own automation trigger fires reliably.
What to test before rollout
| Check | Pass looks like | Result |
|---|---|---|
| API key still valid | CoRecruit's connection has not silently expired since Recruit CRM keys can be regenerated | |
| Record matching | Note lands on the existing candidate or contact, not a duplicate | |
| Field updates | Only salary fields update, and only with values you would trust unreviewed | |
| Zap reliability | A Zapier-based note arrives within a few minutes, not hours, and does not silently fail | |
| Plan requirement | Your Recruit CRM plan is Business or above before you budget for an API-based integration | |
| Leavers | A departing recruiter's notes and any linked transcripts stay with the agency |
Zapier automations fail quietly more often than native integrations do, since a changed field name or an expired connection on either side does not always raise an alert. Check the Zap's run history weekly for the first month rather than assuming it is working because nobody complained. If you inherit a Zap someone else built, read through its steps before trusting it: confirm which Recruit CRM field the note writes into, whether it appends to existing notes or can overwrite one, and who gets an email if a step errors out.
It is also worth deciding upfront who owns the automation once it is running. A Zap that only one recruiter understands becomes a problem the day that recruiter is out, so document the trigger, the field mapping and the Recruit CRM API key it depends on somewhere the rest of the desk can find it.
What CoRecruit actually costs on top of Recruit CRM
Treat these as an example built from each vendor's own published numbers, as of September 2026, not a quote: a five-recruiter desk moving from Recruit CRM Pro to Business, the plan that includes the API CoRecruit needs, and adding CoRecruit's Starter tier for each recruiter.
Recruit CRM Business (5 seats): plan cost per Recruit CRM's own pricing page,
API access included from this tier up
CoRecruit Starter, 12-month term: $85 × 5 recruiters = $425/month
or paid upfront: $64 × 5 recruiters = $320/month equivalent
Total add-on cost beyond the Recruit CRM plan itself: $320–$425/month
for five recruiters, before any Recruit CRM plan-upgrade difference
The number worth sitting with is the plan-upgrade cost, not just CoRecruit's own price. A desk on Pro that only needs the notetaker has to move its whole Recruit CRM subscription up a tier to get there, which is a bigger commitment than adding a notetaker to an ATS that already includes API access on every plan.
A Recruit CRM note format you can copy
Whether the note comes from CoRecruit, a Zap, or you pasting a transcript summary in by hand, use one shape so the Notes and Calls section reads consistently.
[Call type: phone / video] – [Job title] – [Client] – [Date]
Recommendation: [Submit / Hold / Pass]
Evidence:
- [Requirement]: "[candidate's words]"
- [Requirement]: "[candidate's words]"
- [Requirement]: "[candidate's words]"
Current salary: [ ] Salary expectation: [ ]
Availability / notice: [ ]
Location / remote: [ ]
Open questions: [ ]
Consent to record given: [Yes, at start of call]
Next step: [submit / hold / reject] by [date]
The candidate submittal template shows how to turn this into what the client reads.
Consent before the first candidate call
- Recruit CRM's own call recording is not silent. If you use its built-in phone calling and recording feature, check what, if anything, is announced to the other party during the call, and add your own spoken notice regardless.
- Use one consent line on every call. Our consent script and guide to calls across state lines cover the stricter all-party rule.
- Set a retention rule for recordings specifically. A recorded call is more sensitive than a typed note; decide separately how long each stays attached to a record.
Standalone tools and where Interview Signal fits
Given how thin Recruit CRM's own notetaking ecosystem is, plenty of recruiters on the platform use a standalone tool and paste the summary into the Notes and Calls section by hand. That is a reasonable default while your plan is below Business, while you decide whether CoRecruit or a Zap is worth the setup, or if your firm is not ready to hand call audio to a marketplace partner.
Interview Signal is in this group: it has no Recruit CRM integration. It is a desktop app with no bot, so phone and video screens are captured the same way, and it drafts the submittal in your template, ready to paste into a Recruit CRM note, while transcripts stay on the recruiter's computer. If automatic write-back is a requirement, choose CoRecruit or build the Zapier automation instead.
Who each route suits
- CoRecruit: agencies on Recruit CRM Business or Enterprise that want a documented, supported direct integration and are comfortable with a 12-month term.
- Metaview via Zapier: teams that already use Metaview elsewhere and are comfortable maintaining a Zap rather than waiting for a native connection.
- A standalone tool: firms on Recruit CRM Pro, solo recruiters, and anyone who would rather paste a note in than manage an API key or a Zap.
Questions people ask
Does Recruit CRM have a built-in AI notetaker?
No. As of September 2026, Recruit CRM's Pro plan lists phone calling and recording, and its AI features cover resume parsing and candidate matching, but its own pages do not describe an AI feature that transcribes and summarizes a call the way a dedicated notetaker does.
Does Metaview integrate with Recruit CRM?
Only through Zapier. Metaview's own support article for Recruit CRM describes setting up a Zapier automation that adds a conversation summary as a note, rather than a native, direct integration such as the ones Metaview publishes for Bullhorn, Lever or Loxo.
Does CoRecruit work with Recruit CRM?
Yes, as a documented direct integration. CoRecruit's help center describes connecting with a Recruit CRM API key, generated from Admin Settings, and says a Business or Enterprise subscription is required for that API key to exist. Notes land in the Notes and Calls section, and only current salary and salary expectation are supported as field updates.
Which Recruit CRM plan do I need to connect a notetaker?
Business or above, for any integration that relies on the API rather than Zapier. Recruit CRM's own pricing page lists API access as unavailable on Pro and included from Business, which is also the requirement CoRecruit states for its own integration.
