Recruitee, now sold as Tellent Recruitee, uses AI in several places, but not in the interview itself. As of October 2026 its pages describe AI that drafts candidate emails, summarizes team feedback, screens applications and translates job posts, and scheduling that syncs with Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams. Nothing records or transcribes the conversation. That job goes to integrations from the Tellent marketplace.
Recruitee's customer base is heavily European, so the choice is as much about data protection and where a notetaker processes audio as about features. This page compares the notetakers that document Recruitee connections, where their output lands, and what to test. Every vendor fact links to the page we checked.
What Recruitee does natively
- Scheduling: Recruitee's interviewing page describes scheduling interviews that sync with Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams, candidate self-scheduling, and notes added directly to the candidate's profile.
- AI Evaluation Insights: the AI and automation page says it consolidates team comments into summaries. It summarizes what interviewers wrote, not what the candidate said.
- AI positioning: the same page describes AI as decision support, with hiring decisions left to recruiters and hiring managers.
- Plans: the pricing page lists Start, Advance and Optimize, with prices given after a demo. Structured evaluation forms appear from Advance; AI-powered email and feedback writing appears on Start. API access is listed on Start.
Integrations, compared
As documented by Tellent's marketplace or each vendor, as of October 2026.
| Tool | Where it is documented | Capture | What reaches Recruitee |
|---|---|---|---|
| Metaview | Metaview help center; Recruitee support | Joins video calls; phone through its own calling | Write candidate notes is among its required permissions |
| Noota | Tellent marketplace; Noota | Calendar, Chrome extension, mobile app for in-person, phone | Summary as a note on the candidate profile; can fill candidate fields |
| Carv | Carv integration page | Video, phone, text and in-person | Structured data prefilled into ATS fields |
| Ringover | Tellent marketplace | Phone calls through Ringover | Call logs, recordings, notes and tags; AI summaries and transcripts |
Metaview publishes its pricing: a free tier of 25 calls a month and Pro at $60 a user a month (pricing). We did not find BrightHire, Fireflies or Screenloop documenting a Recruitee notetaker integration on the pages we checked.
Metaview on Recruitee: the token matters
Metaview's Recruitee setup is different from most of its ATS connections. Instead of an admin authorization through an integration partner, you create a personal API token in Recruitee (Settings, Apps and plugins, Personal API tokens) and paste it into Metaview. Three consequences:
- The token is a person. Metaview says the token "inherits that user's access". If the person who created it leaves or loses access, the integration can stop. Create it from an account your team controls long term.
- No middle vendor. Metaview describes this as a direct connection with no third-party integration partner, which keeps your subprocessor list shorter than for ATSs connected through a unified API.
- Automatic capture works. Unlike several ATSs, Metaview lists automatic scheduling directly from Recruitee, so interviews booked in Recruitee are picked up without a separate invite.
Recruitee's own support article is explicit that this is a third-party integration built by Metaview, so questions go to Metaview, not Recruitee.
Notes versus fields
The integrations split into two styles, and it is worth deciding which you want before choosing:
- A note on the profile (Metaview, Noota): a readable summary next to colleagues' notes. Easy for hiring managers, but the data is prose.
- Prefilled fields (Carv, and Noota optionally): salary expectations or notice period written into candidate fields, so you can filter on them later. More useful for reporting, but a wrong value in a field is less visible than a wrong sentence in a note.
Either way, Recruitee's AI Evaluation Insights summarizes team comments, not integration output, so check how a long AI note affects that summary in your account. Our guide to writing candidate notes in your ATS covers what to keep out.
Phone screens and in-person interviews
This is where the options separate most. Metaview's phone calls guide describes calling through Metaview from a registered number. Noota names a mobile app for in-person conversations and phone interviews. Carv lists phone and in-person. Ringover is a full phone system: calls made through it are logged in Recruitee with recordings and AI summaries, which means recruiters dial through Ringover rather than their own mobile. Our guide to recording a phone screen compares approaches.
Data protection for a European hiring team
- Lawful basis and notice: recording interviews needs a lawful basis and clear notice. Our UK GDPR recording guide covers the questions to answer first.
- Where audio is processed: ask each vendor where recordings and transcripts are stored and processed, and get it in the data processing agreement.
- AI Act: if a tool scores candidates, read our EU AI Act overview. A notetaker that only transcribes is a different case from one that ranks.
- Retention: set recording retention in the notetaker to match Recruitee's candidate retention, so a deleted candidate does not live on in a transcript.
What it costs on top of Recruitee, as an example
Recruitee does not publish plan prices, and of the four integrations only Metaview publishes a per-seat price on the pages we checked. An illustrative example from that published price as of October 2026, not a quote, for a team of six interviewers:
Tellent Recruitee: price on request after a demo (Start, Advance, Optimize)
Metaview Free: $0 (25 calls per user per month)
Metaview Pro: $60 × 6 = $360/month
Noota, Carv: check each vendor's current pricing
Ringover: priced as a phone system; check Ringover's plans
If your team interviews fewer than 25 times a person a month, a free tier is enough for a meaningful trial. Our notetaker pricing guide compares the wider market.
Running a fair trial
- Choose one job with a mix of phone screens and video interviews over two weeks.
- Book every video interview in Recruitee, so tools that capture Recruitee-scheduled meetings are tested on their main path.
- Run one tool per interview, never two bots on the same call, and tell candidates which is running.
- Log edits: after each interview, the interviewer notes how long they spent correcting the note or fields.
- Ask the hiring manager at the end which output helped them decide fastest, and count how many interviews were missed altogether.
A note format that reads well in Recruitee
[Stage] – [Job] – [Date] – [Video / phone / in person]
Recommendation: [per your evaluation form]
Evidence:
- [Requirement]: "[candidate's words]"
- [Requirement]: "[candidate's words]"
- [Requirement]: "[candidate's words]"
Concerns for the next interviewer: [ ]
Logistics: salary [ ] notice period [ ] location [ ]
Consent to record given: [Yes]
The capture-type line tells colleagues whether a note came from a notetaker, a phone system or a person typing, which explains differences in detail between notes on the same profile.
What to test before rollout
| Check | Pass looks like | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Token ownership | The Metaview token belongs to an account that will not be deactivated | |
| Automatic capture | Interviews scheduled in Recruitee are picked up without extra invites | |
| Field accuracy | Prefilled fields (Carv, Noota) match what the candidate said | |
| Phone coverage | Phone screens are captured by the chosen tool or by a documented manual step | |
| Retention alignment | Deleting a candidate in Recruitee triggers deletion in the notetaker | |
| Evaluations still done | Interviewers submit structured evaluations, not just rely on the note |
Standalone tools, and who each option suits
Interview Signal has no Recruitee integration. It is a desktop app with no bot that captures audio on the interviewer's computer and exports a scorecard quoting the candidate that you paste into a Recruitee note or evaluation.
- Metaview: teams that want automatic capture of Recruitee-scheduled interviews and a free tier to trial.
- Noota: teams mixing video, phone and in-person interviews who want one tool for all three.
- Carv: teams that care most about structured fields for later search and reporting.
- Ringover: phone-first teams that want a calling system with recordings logged in Recruitee.
- A standalone tool: interviewers who prefer no bot, or a pilot before committing to a vendor.
Questions people ask
Does Recruitee have a built-in AI notetaker?
Not for live interviews, as of October 2026. Tellent Recruitee's pages describe AI that drafts emails, summarizes team feedback through AI Evaluation Insights, screens applications and translates job posts, and scheduling that syncs with Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams. Recording and transcribing the interview itself comes from integrations.
Is Recruitee part of Tellent?
Yes. Recruitee's own site now brands the product as Tellent Recruitee, and its integrations marketplace is hosted at marketplace.tellent.com, as of October 2026.
How does Metaview connect to Recruitee?
Through a Recruitee personal API token entered in Metaview's settings. Metaview's help center says this is a direct connection with no third-party integration partner, that the token inherits the access of the user who created it, and that Metaview can capture interviews scheduled in Recruitee automatically. Recruitee's support center notes the integration is built and supported by Metaview.
Which Recruitee notetaker covers phone and in-person interviews?
Noota's listing on the Tellent marketplace names a mobile app for in-person conversations and phone interviews, and Carv says it works across video, phone, text and in-person conversations. Ringover is a phone system whose Recruitee integration syncs call logs, recordings and AI summaries.
