TargetRecruit, the Salesforce-based ATS and CRM for staffing firms, has no built-in AI notetaker as of October 2026. Its integration partners page lists one AI notetaker, Quil (now CoRecruit), with a TargetRecruit integration for notes, ATS updates and submittals, and several phone systems that run inside Salesforce, such as Dialpad, Aircall, CloudCall and Natterbox. Bullhorn bought TargetRecruit in August 2025 and says it will keep supporting it, but ties its own AI, Amplify, to Bullhorn Recruitment Cloud.
This page covers where TargetRecruit stands after the acquisition, what its own AI does, which notetakers and phone systems it lists, and what to ask before you connect anything to your Salesforce org. We make Interview Signal, one of the tools below; everything about the other products comes from their own sites, linked and dated.
Is TargetRecruit still sold and supported after the Bullhorn deal?
Bullhorn announced on August 1, 2025 that it had acquired TargetRecruit, a Houston-based provider of front- and middle-office software built on Salesforce, strengthening its position in healthcare staffing, especially locums and per diem (Bullhorn press release). Bullhorn's FAQ for TargetRecruit customers says, as of October 2026:
- Bullhorn will continue to support all TargetRecruit offerings that customers actively use.
- Bullhorn will not force TargetRecruit customers to migrate to Bullhorn Recruitment Cloud.
- Customers who choose to migrate get Bullhorn's automation and AI; the press release names Bullhorn Amplify, delivered via Agentforce.
TargetRecruit's own site is still live, with a banner announcing the acquisition and a sales contact, and its Salesforce AppExchange listing now reads "TargetRecruit by Bullhorn." It publishes no prices. If you are a TargetRecruit customer choosing a notetaker, the open question is how long you will stay on TargetRecruit, so ask every vendor whether it also supports Bullhorn Recruitment Cloud.
What AI does TargetRecruit build in?
TargetRecruit's TR Intelligence page describes two parts:
- AI agents powered by Agentforce: analyze applicant data against your criteria, generate a recommended shortlist, email shortlisted candidates available time slots synced with your Salesforce calendar (with your approval), and send personalized rejection emails that point to other openings.
- An AI assistant: summarizes resumes, generates interview questions from the job and the candidate, writes candidate summaries and job descriptions, drafts submittal emails, summarizes client accounts from public information, and updates employment and education history when a resume is parsed. TargetRecruit says a data protection layer controls what sensitive data the AI services can see.
The interview questions and candidate summaries are useful before and after a screen, but nothing here listens to the conversation. That is the gap a notetaker fills.
Which AI notetakers and call tools does TargetRecruit list?
TargetRecruit's integration partners page says it has pre-built integrations with more than 180 partners and access to the wider AppExchange. As of October 2026 the relevant listings are:
- Quil (now CoRecruit): described as an AI platform for recruiting agencies with a TargetRecruit integration that automates note-taking, ATS updates and candidate submittals. Quil's website now redirects to CoRecruit.
- Phone systems: Dialpad (native integration with Salesforce), Natterbox (telephony embedded in Salesforce with call recording, click-to-dial and CTI), Aircall, CloudCall, 8x8 and 3CX. Our Aircall for recruiting review covers one of them in depth.
- Video and collaboration: Hinterview for video interviews, and Microsoft Teams.
CoRecruit's own Salesforce page says it pushes call insights into Salesforce lead, contact and opportunity records and supports standard and custom objects. It does not name TargetRecruit, whose candidates live in its own Job Applicant records, so ask CoRecruit to show a note landing on a TargetRecruit applicant in your sandbox. We did not find Metaview documenting a TargetRecruit integration.
How do the TargetRecruit options compare?
As published on each vendor's own pages, as of October 2026. "Not stated" means the linked pages do not say.
| Option | How it captures | Bot? | Phone screens | Link to TargetRecruit | Published price | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| CoRecruit | Cell phone, VoIP, Zoom, Meet, Teams, Webex, WhatsApp, in person (pricing page) | No visible bot | Yes, including mobile | Listed by TargetRecruit as Quil; notes, ATS updates, submittals | Starter from $85/user/month on a 12-month term, or $64 paid annually upfront | Recruiters who want AI notes and submittals from every call |
| Dialpad (our review) | Its own phone, messaging and meetings platform | No meeting bot | Yes, calls through Dialpad | Listed; native Salesforce integration | Plans listing AI transcripts and recaps (Dialpad pricing) | Firms replacing their phone system |
| Natterbox | Telephony inside Salesforce | No meeting bot | Yes, calls through Natterbox | Listed; call recording and click-to-dial in Salesforce | Not stated on TargetRecruit's listing | Contact-center-style desks that need recording in Salesforce |
| Bullhorn Recruitment Cloud | Bullhorn's own AI via Amplify | Not stated for Recruitment Cloud | Not stated | Requires migrating from TargetRecruit | Not published | Firms already planning to move to Bullhorn |
| Interview Signal | Desktop app records the interviewer's own computer audio | No bot | Yes, if the call runs through the computer | None; you paste the note | Free 20 minutes; Solo $49/month; Team $59/seat/month (pricing) | Recruiters who want a scorecard and submittal and no new Salesforce app |
For Bullhorn's own notetaker on its core ATS, Amplify Transcribe, see our AI notetaker for Bullhorn page, and check with Bullhorn whether the same skill is available on Recruitment Cloud.
How do you get AI notes into TargetRecruit without an integration?
TargetRecruit's how-to documentation is not public, and because it runs inside your own Salesforce org, your Salesforce admin decides which objects, fields and activity types recruiters see. Agree these before anyone pastes:
- The record: the applicant record for candidate screens, and the contact or account for client intakes.
- The place: a notes field or activity your reports count, so pasted notes show up in activity metrics.
- The fields: pay rate, availability and licensure are typed into their fields, not left in free text. For healthcare desks, license details belong in the credentialing fields your compliance team checks.
- The submittal: TargetRecruit's AI assistant drafts submittal emails; paste your interview evidence into that draft rather than starting a second document.
Our guide to getting AI notes into an ATS without an integration compares pasting, email, Zapier and API routes.
What should you check for privacy and consent?
- Another app in your org. A managed package or connected app sees Salesforce data. Ask each vendor which objects it reads and writes, and grant only those.
- Phone recording settings. With a Salesforce phone system, the recording announcement and retention are set in that system. Match them to your consent script.
- Healthcare candidates. Clinicians may mention health details or license issues on a screen. Keep those out of AI summaries that are shared widely; our healthcare staffing notetaker guide covers this.
- Platform change. If you may move to Bullhorn Recruitment Cloud, ask each vendor how notes, recordings and transcripts move with you, and who deletes the old copies.
What should you test before rollout?
| Check | Pass looks like | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Object mapping | The note lands on the TargetRecruit applicant, not a Salesforce lead or a new contact | |
| Activity reporting | AI notes count in the activity reports managers use | |
| Field writes | Pay rate and availability change only after a recruiter confirms | |
| Permissions | The integration user has only the access it needs | |
| Sandbox first | Everything above passes in a sandbox before production | |
| Deletion | A candidate's recording and transcript can be deleted on request in both systems |
Which option fits which TargetRecruit firm?
- CoRecruit: best for most TargetRecruit desks that want AI notes now, because it is the notetaker TargetRecruit lists and it captures mobile calls; if you may move to Bullhorn, ask which of its integrations would apply.
- Dialpad or Natterbox: best for high-volume healthcare or commercial desks that want every call recorded and logged in Salesforce.
- Bullhorn Recruitment Cloud: best only for firms already planning the migration for other reasons.
- A standalone tool and paste: best for small teams that do not want another app in their Salesforce org.
Interview Signal is in the last group and has no TargetRecruit or Salesforce integration. It is a desktop app for Windows and macOS with no bot that captures the recruiter's own computer audio, so phone screens through the computer and video calls work the same way, and it drafts a scorecard with the candidate's quotes and a client submittal in your template, with transcripts kept on the recruiter's computer. Its ready-made ATS note formats are for Bullhorn, Greenhouse, Lever and JobAdder only, so for TargetRecruit you paste the plain version. It is desktop only, newer with few public reviews, and does not record video. Our staffing agency guide and CoRecruit alternatives compare the wider market.
Questions people ask
Does TargetRecruit have a built-in AI notetaker?
No, as of October 2026. TargetRecruit's TR Intelligence suite uses AI agents and an AI assistant to summarize resumes, write candidate summaries and interview questions, shortlist applicants and schedule interviews, but it does not record or summarize calls. For AI call notes, TargetRecruit's partner page lists Quil, now CoRecruit.
Which AI notetaker integrates with TargetRecruit?
TargetRecruit's integration partners page lists Quil as an AI platform for recruiting agencies with a TargetRecruit integration that automates note-taking, ATS updates and candidate submittals, as of October 2026. Quil's website now redirects to CoRecruit. CoRecruit's own site lists a Salesforce integration but does not name TargetRecruit, so confirm which TargetRecruit records it writes to.
Is TargetRecruit still supported after Bullhorn bought it?
Yes. Bullhorn announced the acquisition on August 1, 2025, and its FAQ for TargetRecruit customers says Bullhorn will continue to support all TargetRecruit offerings that customers actively use and will not force customers to migrate. It adds that moving to Bullhorn Recruitment Cloud unlocks Bullhorn's automation and AI.
Can TargetRecruit customers use Bullhorn's AI notetaker?
Not directly, as far as we could confirm in October 2026. Bullhorn's announcement ties Bullhorn Amplify, delivered via Agentforce, to customers who upgrade to Bullhorn Recruitment Cloud. We found nothing saying Amplify skills such as Transcribe run on TargetRecruit itself, so ask Bullhorn before planning around it.
