Thrive TRM has no notetaker of its own, but it has a named partner: Thrive publishes a Thrive x Metaview integration page, and Metaview's help center documents connecting both Thrive 1.0 and Thrive 2.0. As of October 2026 CoRecruit also syncs notes to the Activity Timeline on a Thrive contact, with listed limits, and SourceWhale lists Thrive among its CRM integrations. Any other tool means pasting notes in, and Thrive's own AI is built to take a pasted kickoff call transcript and turn it into search documents.
This page covers what Thrive is and what its AI does with transcripts, exactly how Metaview and CoRecruit write into Thrive, the paste route, and the discretion questions that matter in executive search. Facts link to the vendor pages we read, dated October 2026. For a wider comparison across search CRMs, see our guide to the best AI note takers for executive search; for other search systems, see our pages on Invenias, Clockwork and Ezekia.
What is Thrive TRM, and who uses it?
Thrive calls its product talent relationship management software with an applicant tracking system. Its homepage offers solutions for executive search firms, in-house executive talent teams, and venture capital and private equity firms, and the in-house page says it is designed for executive search, not volume recruiting. The product has not been renamed; the site is still titled Thrive TRM. Thrive does not publish prices; it offers a demo with a custom needs analysis. Its security page cites ISO 27001, SOC 2, AWS hosting and GDPR and CCPA compliance.
What does Thrive's own AI do with call transcripts?
Thrive's homepage product tour, as of October 2026, shows a partner starting a CFO search by pasting the kickoff call transcript into Thrive. From that, Thrive generates a position description, a pitch sheet, a scorecard and a three-step outreach sequence in the firm's templates, and turns the conversation into editable search signals. The tour also shows market maps, graded matches with reasons and off-limits flags, LinkedIn opened inside Thrive with InMail logged, a client-ready slate or separate client view that keeps private notes unshared, and a Thrive MCP server that brings searches, candidates and notes into Claude while keeping Thrive permissions.
Thrive does not describe recording calls itself. Its September 2026 post on AI agents and data notes that many executive talent leaders have adopted notetakers, and argues that what was learned in each conversation should be stored in a structured way. So the note taker's job here is to feed Thrive good material.
Which note takers integrate with Thrive?
| Tool | Where it is documented | What reaches Thrive |
|---|---|---|
| Metaview | Thrive's Thrive x Metaview page; Metaview's Thrive setup guide | Notes posted to candidate profiles with one click, links to Metaview notes, data enrichment, and (on 2.0) scheduling from Thrive |
| CoRecruit | CoRecruit's Thrive integration page | Structured notes to the Activity Timeline on the selected contact; no activity types, field updates or document uploads |
| SourceWhale | Thrive's SourceWhale page and SourceWhale's integrations list | Thrive's page covers adding contacts and syncing outreach; whether SourceWhale's Notetaker writes to Thrive is not stated |
Metaview with Thrive, step by step
From Metaview's Thrive guide, as of October 2026:
- Requirement: API access enabled on your Thrive account; if you do not have it, contact your Thrive CSM.
- Thrive 2.0: ask Thrive for a 2.0 API key and the full Metaview vendor API URL (shaped like your-company.thriveiq.com/api/v1/vendors/metaview/), enter both under Settings, Integrations, Thrive 2.0 in Metaview, test, save and connect.
- Thrive 1.0: in Thrive, go to Settings, Integration, Access Tokens, click Generate API Token, and paste it into Metaview's Thrive settings.
- Permissions: on 2.0, read events, with writing an event transcript optional; on 1.0, read contacts, applications, stages, searches and users and write contact notes, with creating contacts or applications optional. There are no individual permissions to select, and Metaview says no third-party integration partner is involved.
- Timing and matching: up to 48 hours to complete. Calls not scheduled through Thrive are matched afterwards; missing or duplicate contacts and wrong participants are the usual reasons a call does not match.
Thrive's own 2026 workflows post describes using the Metaview integration to log who knows whom from transcripts, then filtering your network by relationship strength.
CoRecruit with Thrive
CoRecruit says every intake, interview, client or reference call is captured and turned into structured notes that are submitted to the Activity Timeline on the selected contact. Its page lists the limits plainly: activity types are not supported, it cannot update standard or custom fields, it cannot upload documents or summaries, and its Chrome extension is not supported for Thrive.
How do you get notes into Thrive without an integration?
Thrive's support page offers help by email rather than public articles, so we cannot quote field names. Thrive's relationship management page describes an activity timeline holding calls, outreach, interviews, notes and assessments, and its search management page describes assessment templates for standardizing interviews. A workable routine:
- Candidate meetings: paste a short, quote-backed summary as a note on the contact, linked to the search.
- Assessments: enter ratings in the Thrive assessment template yourself; paste quotes as the evidence.
- Kickoff calls: paste the transcript into Thrive, as its product tour shows, and edit the generated position description and search signals before using them.
- Private material: keep compensation and off-limits reasoning in private notes so it never reaches a client view.
Our guide to AI notes without an integration and position specification template cover the formats.
How do the realistic options compare?
We make Interview Signal, one of the tools below; everything about the other products comes from their own sites, linked and dated. As of October 2026.
| Option | How it captures the call | Bot or no bot | Phone screens | Thrive link | Published price | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Metaview | Notetaker joins video calls, or a Mac and Windows desktop app | Bot, or no bot with the desktop app | Yes, through its phone feature (guide) | Documented by both vendors; 1.0 and 2.0 | Free 25 calls a month; Pro $60 per user a month (pricing) | Firms that want the partner Thrive itself promotes |
| CoRecruit | Cell phone, VoIP, WhatsApp, Zoom, Teams, Meet and in person | No visible bot | Yes | Notes to Activity Timeline; no fields, types or files | From $85 per user a month on an annual term, or $64 paid annually upfront; 7-day trial (pricing) | Partners who take many calls on their phones and in person |
| SourceWhale Notetaker | Records and transcribes client and candidate video meetings | Joins Teams, Meet and Zoom calls, per its Bullhorn listing | Its dialer records its own calls, per the same listing | Thrive listed; Notetaker sync not stated | Not published | Firms already using SourceWhale for outreach into Thrive |
| Interview Signal | Desktop app on the interviewer's Windows or Mac computer | No bot | Yes, when the call runs through the computer | None; you paste | Free 20 minutes; 5 hours $29; Solo $49 a month | Consultants who want transcripts kept on their own computer and quote-backed notes |
Interview Signal has no Thrive integration: you copy or export the scorecard and paste it, and its ready-made note formats are for Bullhorn, Greenhouse, Lever and JobAdder only. It is desktop only, does not record video, is a newer product with few public reviews, and phone calls must run through the computer.
What should search firms check for discretion and consent?
- A visible bot on a confidential call. Senior candidates may take your call from a work laptop. A named participant joining can be a problem; a desktop or phone capture shows nothing, so the notice has to come from you.
- Spoken consent every time. Our consent script and guide to calls across state lines cover the wording and the stricter rule.
- Client views. Confirm that pasted notes and any transcript links stay out of the client-facing view.
- Token ownership. An API token that writes notes should belong to a service account with an owner, not a consultant who may leave.
This is not legal advice.
What should you test before rollout?
| Check | Pass looks like | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Version | The vendor connects to your Thrive version (1.0 or 2.0) | |
| Matching | Notes land on the existing contact, not a duplicate | |
| Search link | The note is tied to the right search when the call was about one | |
| Privacy | Compensation and off-limits notes stay private and out of client views | |
| Deletion | A candidate's transcript can be deleted in the note taker as well as in Thrive |
A candidate meeting note to paste into Thrive
[Search] – [Candidate meeting / referral call / client update] – [Date]

Who should pick which option?
- Metaview: best for Thrive firms that want the integration Thrive itself documents, with notes on the profile and Thrive 2.0 scheduling.
- CoRecruit: best for consultants whose calls happen on mobile phones, WhatsApp or in person, who accept notes on the timeline without field updates.
- SourceWhale Notetaker: best for firms already running SourceWhale outreach into Thrive, after confirming where notes land.
- Interview Signal: best for consultants who want no bot and transcripts on their own computer, and are happy to paste; see Interview Signal for executive search.
Questions people ask
Has Thrive TRM been renamed?
No. As of October 2026 the vendor's site, thrivetrm.com, is titled Thrive TRM and calls the product Thrive. Metaview's setup guide does distinguish Thrive 1.0 from Thrive 2.0, which uses a separate connection, so check which version your firm runs before connecting any note taker.
Which AI note takers integrate with Thrive TRM?
Thrive publishes its own Thrive x Metaview integration page, and Metaview's help center has a setup guide for Thrive 1.0 and 2.0. CoRecruit publishes a Thrive integration that sends notes to the Activity Timeline on a contact, and SourceWhale lists Thrive among its CRM and ATS integrations, as of October 2026.
How do you connect Metaview to Thrive?
API access must be enabled on your Thrive account first, through your Thrive customer success manager. For Thrive 2.0 you ask Thrive for an API key and the full Metaview vendor API URL and enter both in Metaview's Thrive 2.0 settings; for Thrive 1.0 you generate an API token in Thrive under Settings, Integration, Access Tokens. Metaview says the integration can take up to 48 hours to complete.
What can CoRecruit not do in Thrive TRM?
CoRecruit's Thrive page lists four limits as of October 2026: activity types are not supported, it cannot update standard or custom fields, it cannot upload documents or summaries to Thrive, and its Chrome extension is not supported for the Thrive integration. Notes go to the Activity Timeline on the selected contact.
