Jobvite belongs to Employ, the company that also owns Lever and JazzHR, and in March 2025 Employ bought Pillar, an interview intelligence platform. Pillar is now sold as AI Interview Companion, and Jobvite offers it as an add-on module. That makes it the closest thing Jobvite has to a native notetaker. Metaview and BrightHire also document Jobvite connections, so a Jobvite customer has three realistic options as of October 2026.

This page compares them on what they capture, what reaches Jobvite, what setup needs from Jobvite itself, and what to test. Every vendor fact links to the page we checked. If you also run Lever elsewhere in your group, our Lever notetaker guide covers the same product from that side.

AI Interview Companion (formerly Pillar)

  • Ownership: Employ's acquisition announcement (March 5, 2025) describes Employ as the company behind JazzHR, Lever and Jobvite.
  • On Jobvite: Jobvite's AI Interview Companion page describes structured interviews with automatic feedback flow and AI-generated interview guides from a pasted job description.
  • Capture: Employ's integrations page says it records, transcribes and creates highlights of every virtual interview, joins interviews automatically through a bi-directional ATS integration, and syncs with your calendar. Jobvite appears among the ATS logos on that page, alongside Zoom, Google Meet and Teams.
  • Beyond notes: Employ's product page describes live interview guidance, interviewer coaching after interviews, a training center and candidate sentiment.
  • No scoring: the same page states it "assists with transcription and summarization" and "does not provide candidate scoring or hiring recommendations".
  • Pricing: Jobvite's pricing page describes a core ATS plus modules, including AI Companion, with no published prices.

What we could not confirm about it

  • Where output lands in Jobvite: Employ says it shares interview insights with the ATS, but the pages we checked do not say whether that is a note, a link, an attachment or scorecard content in Jobvite.
  • Phone calls: Employ describes virtual interviews on Zoom, Meet and Teams; we found no mention of phone capture.
  • Visible participant: the pages say it joins interviews automatically but not how it appears to candidates.

Ask your Jobvite account team all three before buying the module.

Metaview on Jobvite: the API request comes first

Metaview's Jobvite article is the most detailed setup guide we found, and it starts with a step many teams miss: Jobvite enables API access endpoint by endpoint, so you have to ask for it.

  1. Email your Jobvite representative or support asking for the endpoints Metaview lists: job, candidate, workflow, disposition and custom field reads, plus candidate PUT and POST.
  2. Know which are optional. The read endpoints are required for the core integration. PUT and POST are only needed to write back to Jobvite. Without them Metaview still works, but notes stay in Metaview.
  3. Connect in Metaview once Jobvite confirms, under Settings and Integrations. The connection is authorized through Kombo, a Metaview subprocessor.

With write access, Metaview lists posting notes with one click, adding notes as an attachment to the candidate's application, adding links to notes, moving candidates between stages and rejecting applications. It does not schedule calls automatically from Jobvite; it matches calls booked through your connected calendar. Its phone calls guide describes calling candidates through a registered number, and its pricing page lists a free tier of 25 calls a month and Pro at $60 a user a month.

BrightHire

BrightHire lists Jobvite on its integrations page as of October 2026. The page says its ATS integrations enable features such as one-click scorecard completion, highlights playable in the ATS and click to call from the ATS, but it does not break those down by ATS. BrightHire is quote-only. If scorecard completion inside Jobvite is the reason you are looking, make it the first thing you see in the demo.

How to choose

  • One vendor relationship matters most: AI Interview Companion keeps the contract with Employ, and is the same product Employ offers on Lever and JazzHR if your group runs more than one.
  • You want to trial before buying: Metaview's free tier is the only published no-cost starting point, though the Jobvite API request may take time.
  • Phone screens are a big share of interviews: Metaview describes phone calling; confirm phone support with the other two.
  • Scorecard completion inside the ATS is the goal: see BrightHire's demo on Jobvite specifically.

The phone-screen gap

Large Jobvite customers often run high-volume first rounds by phone, and two of the three options describe video capture first. If phone screens matter, test them explicitly rather than assuming. Metaview's phone guide describes calling from the browser or having Metaview ring your phone first, with the same notes as a video call. For the others, ask for a phone demo on a real number. Our guide to recording a phone screen covers the alternatives, including recording through a phone system.

Running a pilot alongside the API request

Requesting API endpoints from Jobvite can take a while, so run the two in parallel:

  1. Send the endpoint request on day one, naming exactly which endpoints and whether write access is wanted.
  2. Pilot capture quality meanwhile on a handful of interviews, with notes kept in the notetaker and pasted into Jobvite by hand.
  3. Turn on write-back only when the pilot shows the notes are accurate enough to land in the ATS without review.
  4. Compare with AI Interview Companion in a demo using the same interviews, so the decision is between two known outputs.

Our interview intelligence software guide has a fuller evaluation checklist.

What to test before rollout

CheckPass looks likeResult
API scopeOnly the endpoints you agreed are enabled, and write access is deliberate
MatchingCalendar-booked interviews attach to the right Jobvite candidate and requisition
PlacementHiring managers find the notes in Jobvite without being told where to look
Stage movesIf a tool can move or reject candidates, only the right people can trigger it
Scorecards still doneInterviewers complete Jobvite evaluations, using notes as evidence
DeletionA candidate's recording and transcript can be deleted in the tool and in Jobvite

Pay attention to the stage-move row. Metaview lists moving and rejecting candidates among its Jobvite features. That is convenient, but a rejection triggered from a notetaker is easy to miss in an audit, so decide who may use it.

Jobvite's pricing page positions it for talent teams in highly regulated industries, so keep notes to job-related evidence. Our guide to what not to write in interview notes lists what to strip out, and our consent script covers the opening line.

Standalone tools, and who each option suits

Interview Signal has no Jobvite integration. It is a desktop app with no bot that captures audio on the interviewer's computer, including phone screens, and exports a scorecard quoting the candidate that you paste into Jobvite.

  • AI Interview Companion: Jobvite customers who want interview intelligence from the same company as their ATS, with coaching and guides.
  • Metaview: teams that want a free tier, phone capture and notes written back through the API.
  • BrightHire: larger teams wanting an established interview intelligence platform, after confirming Jobvite specifics.
  • A standalone tool: teams waiting on API access or a module decision, or interviewers who prefer no bot.

Questions people ask

Does Jobvite have its own AI notetaker?

Jobvite sells AI Interview Companion, Employ's interview intelligence product formerly called Pillar, as an add-on module. Employ, which owns Jobvite, Lever and JazzHR, acquired Pillar in March 2025. Employ's pages describe it recording, transcribing and creating highlights of virtual interviews, and state that it does not provide candidate scoring or hiring recommendations.

How much does AI Interview Companion cost on Jobvite?

Jobvite does not publish prices. Its pricing page, as of October 2026, describes starting with the core ATS and adding modules such as Onboarding and AI Companion, with a plan built after you describe your needs.

What does Metaview need to connect to Jobvite?

Metaview's help center says Jobvite must first enable specific API endpoints, which you request from your Jobvite representative or support. The read endpoints are required; the write endpoints are only needed to post notes back. Metaview does not schedule calls automatically from Jobvite and matches calendar-booked calls instead.

Does BrightHire work with Jobvite?

BrightHire lists Jobvite on its integrations page as of October 2026. The page describes ATS features such as scorecard completion and click-to-call across its integrations in general, so confirm which apply to Jobvite in a demo.
